This role focuses on cash forecasting, financial reporting, and process improvement, while providing insights to optimize liquidity and mitigate risks. The Senior Treasury Analyst will play a key role in executing daily treasury operations and collaborating with internal teams and external banking partners.\nNote: This position qualifies for an optional hybrid work schedule after 90 days of onsite work and onboarding. Employee will be subject to the terms of the Flexible Work Policy Agreement.\nWhat you'll do\nPrepares daily cash positioning reports and tracks liquidity across all bank accounts.\n\nCollaborates with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)and accounting teams to support accurate cash flow reporting.\n\nDevelops, maintains, and updates Seaspan ULC consolidated short and long-term cash flow models, annual debt budget models and rolling monthly forecasts, including presentation of treasury assumptions and validation of inputs.\n\nPrepares and coordinates the consolidated long-term financial modelling, board reporting, and monthly forecasting processes across all Seaspan entities.\n\nPrepares periodic cash position reports and assists in the development of the cashflow forecasting process for all Seaspan entities.\n\nAssists the Manager, Finance and Treasury with quarterly lender reporting, and supports the development of standardized models, report formats, and data definitions required for consolidated and divisional reporting.\n\nProvides ad hoc analysis and modelling for business case development, as assigned.\n\nEnsures funds are allocated efficiently to meet operational needs and identifies investment opportunities.\n\nAssists in developing hedging models for exchange rate and interest rate risk mitigation.\n\nAdministers bank accounts, including opening/closing accounts and maintaining signatory records.\n\nExecutes and monitors electronic payments (wires, ACH, EFT) and ensures proper authorization controls.\n\nAssists in managing relationships with banks, tracking service fees, and resolving banking issues.\n\nReconciles bank statements and supports month-end and year-end treasury reporting.\n\nDocuments treasury procedures and supports continuous process improvements.\n\nElectronics Systems design to achieve contract, cost and schedule performance.\n\nPerforms additional duties as assigned.\n\nWhat you'll bring\nUndergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field of study is required.\nMBA, Charted Professional Accountant (CPA), Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is an asset.\nMinimum 5 years of financial analysis experience in a complex environment, with 3+ years of experience in treasury or banking.\nKnowledge of cash management, bank operations, and FX/interest rate risk management.\nKnowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis concepts, practices and procedures.\nExperience with Treasury Management Systems (TMS) and Oracle ERP is preferred; exposure to treasury process automation and system integrations is considered an asset.\n\nExperience with Corpay platforms is considered an asset.\n\nWhy you'll love working here\nThis is a full-time, permanent position.\n\nIn addition to an annual bonus and pension plan matching, this role provides you a very competitive salary in line with the successful candidate’s experience.\n\nWe also provide the best-in-class health and wellness benefits package for this position, including things such as extended health care (i.e. paramedical services for massage therapy, speech therapy, mental health coverage, physiotherapy, and more), dental care, vision care, life insurance, medical leave coverage, parental leave coverage, childcare benefit partnership, $500 personal spending account, and an Employee Family Assistance Program (EFAP).\n\nThis position qualifies for an optional hybrid work schedule.\n\nFree on-site gym.\n\nParking is included and to assist those that are using transit, we operate a complimentary shuttle bus Monday through Friday with various pick up and drop off points around North Vancouver.\n\nThe estimated salary for this position is $97,200 - $118,800. In determining final salary, Seaspan considers many factors including the successful Candidate’s skillset and experience as well as position location and internal equity.
