Seattle Bank is a wholly owned subsidiary of Seattle Bancshares, Inc., a privately held bank holding company, and the creator of CD Valet, a digital marketplace for Certificates of Deposit.\nPosition Summary\nSeattle Bank's Partner Banking division originates loans and acquires assets through fintech and marketplace partnerships. This role owns the credit analysis, deal evaluation, structuring, and commercial execution for each partnership opportunity-enabling the Head of Partnerships to focus on strategy and partner leadership while deal-level work is systematically offloaded.\nYou will evaluate incoming opportunities against credit and commercial criteria, build deal structures, draft and negotiate commercial agreements (LOIs, term sheets, purchase and sale agreements, referral agreements), conduct diligence, and prepare recommendations for approval. You'll work within established credit and capital-deployment frameworks while supporting the team's broader portfolio management, secondary market programs, and capital optimization initiatives.\nThis position is located in our downtown Seattle office and requires full-time, in-person work.\nEssential Duties\nDeal Evaluation & Structuring (Primary):\nScreen and perform initial credit analysis on prospective partnerships\nDevelop and recommend appropriate transaction structures (loan purchases, pools, securitizations, warehousing arrangements)\nBuild financial models and NPV/ROI analyses to support deal recommendation\nConduct or coordinate customer credit evaluation, financial analysis, and due diligence\nPrepare deal memos with credit, operational, and capital market recommendations\nSupport capital markets and secondary market program opportunities (e.g., pool structures, warehouse line arrangements)\nCommercial Execution:\nLead negotiation and drafting of partnership agreements (LOIs, term sheets, purchase and sale agreements, referral agreements, service level agreements)\nTranslate partner requirements and regulatory/credit constraints into documented commercial terms\nWork with legal and compliance to ensure agreements are sound and risk-mitigated\nManage approval workflows for commercial and credit stakeholders\nOngoing Partner Administration:\nMonitor partner performance against approved structures and terms\nIdentify and escalate changes in partner condition, volume, or strategy that warrant deal modification or repricing\nPrepare periodic program reviews and performance dashboards\nSupport Head of Partnerships with data for board reporting and strategic updates\nProgram & Portfolio Support:\nContribute to the development of new product lines, approval frameworks, and underwriting standards\nSupport secondary market program execution and warehouse line management\nTrack program profitability, KPIs, and risk metrics across the portfolio\nPhysically attending work on a set and predictable schedule is an essential function of this job.\nRequirements\nDue to the collaborative nature of this position, it requires daily in-person work. After a 90-day training period, this position allows for one day of work from home each week. No exceptions will be granted.\nEssential Experience:\n7+ years in credit analysis, loan structuring, or commercial deal work (banking, credit funds, mortgage banking, or capital markets)\n3+ years in commercial lending or partnership/product structuring\nDemonstrated ability to build financial models, analyze credit risk, and recommend deal structures\nProficiency in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements (NDAs, LOIs, term sheets, purchase and sale agreements)\nKnowledge of capital markets, warehouse facilities, and/or secondary market programs preferred\nSkills & Attributes:\nStrong Excel and modeling skills; able to quickly learn additional systems\nExcellent written and verbal communication\nAbility to manage multiple deal streams and deadlines simultaneously\nComfortable working across credit, operations, compliance, and technology teams\nJudgment to escalate issues appropriately rather than over-manage relationships\nEducation:\nBachelor's degree in finance, economics, or related field (or equivalent professional credit experience) required\nMBA or master’s degree in finance, or other related field preferred. \nSeattle Bank Benefits\nWe’re committed to delivering our promise of peace of mind to our clients and fostering a collaborative, inclusive and supportive workplace for our team members.
