This will require you to collaborate with internal teams and our customers. If you’re technically solid, like to travel and have a clear customer focus, we’d love to hear from you.\nKey Responsibilities\nExecute preventive and corrective maintenance activities at customer facilities according to Sécheron standards.\nImplement retrofits and modernization projects in collaboration with internal teams and customers.\nProvide supervision of installation, testing, commissioning and occasionally customer trainings on Sécheron equipment.\nExecute audits of existing equipment.\nElaboration of technical intervention reports and templates.\nSupport Sales Engineers on substation surveys on site interventions.\nSupport Sales team with the elaboration of repair quotations.\nPromote proactively new service centered business opportunities during customer visits, such as spare parts sales repairs, on-site services, retrofits, trainings, etc.\nProduct Expertise: Provide support on DC products, including:\n- DC switchgear, high-speed breakers, and panels\n- Rectifiers, power converters, and voltage limiting devices\n- Multi-function protection relays and custom electro-mechanical solutions\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering; or relevant technical experience will also be considered.\nCommissioning background in the field of installation, testing and maintenance of electrical equipment with custom electro-mechanical solutions.\nPrior experience in power distribution, switchgear manufacturing, or similar roles (3+ years preferred).\nFamiliarity with DC power systems (Low Voltage and Medium Voltage up to 3kV).\nMinimum requirement: High school diploma or GED combined with industry experience.\nSafety training and certification including OSHA card, current basic first aid and CPR certification.\nSystematic way of working, hand-on approach.\nStrong customer orientation, good communication skills and the ability to move within the customer organization.\nExcel and MS Office Suite (Office 365) user level knowledge.\nSelf-motivated, team-oriented, and adaptable in complex technical environments.\nAbility to analyze technical requirements and create clear, accurate solutions.\nDomestic travel: up to 80%.\nOccasional international travel.\nAvailability to go for a 4-6 week onboarding at the company’s European production plant.\nCommissioning experience on DC traction substations (Advantageous).\nWork Environment & Physical Demands (U.S.-Based Commissioning Engineer)\nThis role is primarily field-based and requires work in a variety of customer, industrial, and outdoor environments across the United States. The Commissioning Engineer must be able to safely perform duties under changing environmental and physical conditions, including but not limited to:\nWork performed both indoors and outdoors, with regular exposure to varying weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, wind, snow, and humidity\nAccessing active industrial, utility, construction, rail, or substation environments, which may include uneven terrain, elevated platforms, confined spaces, and high-noise areas\nStanding, walking, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders or stairs, and working at heights for extended periods\nManual handling, positioning, and installation of equipment, tools, and components, including the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation\nUse of hand tools, power tools, test equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and arc-rated clothing as required\nCompliance with all applicable U.S. safety regulations, customer site requirements, and company safety policies, including lockout/tagout, electrical safety, and job hazard analysis procedures\nThis position requires a high degree of physical mobility, situational awareness, and adherence to safety practices while working independently in the field and traveling extensively between job sites.\nBenefits\nWe foster flat hierarchies and direct communication, enabling quick decisions and strong collaboration across all levels.
