If you are driven by impact and collaboration, this is where your contribution powers global success.\nTo support the expansion of our team, we are seeking to hire in Bangalore a dynamic and motivated PLC Software Design Engineer - Traction Power Systems\nRequirements\nRole Mission\nAs a PLC Software Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end software development lifecycle for Traction Power System customer projects. You will ensure that automation and protection solutions meet technical specifications, safety standards, and customer requirements.\nKey Responsibilities\n· Project Initiation: Actively participate in internal and external project kick-off meetings to define software requirements and project scope.\n· Technical Review: Analyze tender documents and customer specifications against company standards and cost calculations to ensure technical feasibility and alignment.\n· Software Development: Perform comprehensive PLC and HMI engineering, including the creation of logic flowcharts and PLC programming.\n· Application Design: Develop and configure software applications for PLCs and specialized Protection Relays, and potentially HMI interfaces.\n· Testing & Validation: Provide critical support to the production team during functional testing and lead Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) with customers when required.\n· Field & Commissioning Support: Support the commissioning team and provide remote or on-site troubleshooting for live projects at the request of the Project Manager.\n· Quality & Corrective Action: Investigate and implement corrective actions resulting from Non-Conformance Reports and returned goods.\n· Lifecycle Management: Follows the processes used by the company for application and software designs, ensuring all project documentation and code are systematically archived.\n· Client Communication: Provide technical responses and expertise to customer inquiries at the request of the Project Manager.\n· Knowledge Sharing: Interface with global teams to share knowledge and lessons learnt.\nCandidate needs to demonstrate flexibility in his/her working hours to ensure effective collaboration with production sites and international stakeholders across different time zones.\nQualification and Requirements\n Bachelor degree in Engineering or Science\n5 years experience in PLC software development for specific projects\n Skill:\nCommunication protocol knowledge (Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, IEC61850, IEC60870-104)\nNetwork Architecture (Programmable switch)\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills. \nAbility to work independently and as part of a team, interacting with international colleagues (mainly
