Our team is committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement, while providing a clean, well-organized, and team-oriented work environment.\nWe are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support our manufacturing operations.\nPosition Overview\nThe Grinding / Manufacturing Engineer is primarily responsible for improving the reliability, stability, and overall performance of grinding equipment and manufacturing processes. This role focuses on identifying and eliminating recurring failures, developing sustainable reliability practices, and ensuring consistent, high-efficiency production.\nIn addition, this position supports grinding operations through the development of CNC programs, manufacturing documentation, and inspection standards. This role ensures that all technical requirements are fully prepared and optimized prior to production while driving continuous improvement across both equipment performance and manufacturing execution.\nThis position serves as a critical link between engineering, maintenance, and production by combining reliability strategy with hands-on manufacturing support, translating design intent into executable programs, processes, and long-term performance improvements.\nKey Responsibilities\nCNC Grinding Programming\nCreate and optimize grinding programs\nDevelop automated programming methods to improve efficiency and consistency\nTroubleshoot and refine programs during production startup\nManufacturing Preparation\nPrepare production for customer demands and new product development.\nPrepare complete manufacturing release packages, including CNC programs, Manufacturing drawings, Routers, Inspection requirements\nEnsure all technical data is accurate and production-ready before release\nDrawings & Documentation\nCreate and maintain manufacturing drawings and approval drawings\nProduction Support\nProvide hands-on technical support to production\nAssist with troubleshooting programs and process issues\nEnsure successful launch of new jobs and process changes\nDrive automation and process improvements\nFocused on standardization, efficiency, and continuous improvement\nAutonomous Production\nSupport in driving implementation of autonomous production by developing standardized processes, automated programming, and self-sustaining systems that reduce operator dependency and improve consistency\nOther duties as assigned\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience)\nExperience in tool manufacturing or similar high-precision environments\nExperience with CAD, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, CMMS\nStrong understanding of mechanical systems and equipment reliability principles\nExperience with troubleshooting equipment and performing root cause analysis preferred\nHighly detail-oriented and process-driven\nStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills\nComfortable working between engineering, maintenance, and shop floor teams\nData-driven decision making as a key competency for the role\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to sit or stand for extended periods\nReaching overhead or at/below shoulder level\nLifting, pushing, or pulling to move materials, tools, or equipment, sometimes involving heavy objects.\nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive pay based on experience\nHealth, dental, and vision benefits\nPaid time off and holidays\nGender Neutral Paid Parental Leave - 14 weeks at 90% of wage\nRetirement plan options - 5% employer contribution plus a 3% employer match on 6% employee contribution\nOpportunities for skill development and internal advancement\nSupportive, team-oriented work environment\nApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
