This role combines hands-on deployment with ongoing technical support, giving you the opportunity to work with customers from implementation and go-live through upgrades, troubleshooting, and optimization.\nAs part of a collaborative team, you’ll develop your skills across both deployment and support, helping keep customer systems reliable, efficient, and ready to support patient care.\nIn this role, you will:\nDeploy, configure, test, upgrade, and maintain Sectra’s PACS and Enterprise Imaging solutions, including application servers, databases, and supporting infrastructure.\nProvide ongoing technical support for customer environments, troubleshooting issues that affect system performance, availability, and clinical workflows.\nInvestigate complex technical incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive solutions.\nConfigure and troubleshoot connections with modalities and third-party systems, including EMRs, dictation systems, and AI platforms, in collaboration with integration specialists as needed.\nWork closely with project managers, application specialists, engineering colleagues, and customer IT teams to support successful implementations and resolve production issues.\nSupport data migration and validation activities during implementations, upgrades, and system transitions.\nCommunicate technical findings, next steps, and progress clearly to customers and colleagues.\nDocument configurations, troubleshooting steps, and solutions, contributing to shared knowledge and consistent technical practices.\nShare knowledge and provide technical training to customers and colleagues as needed.\nParticipate in continuous improvement efforts that strengthen deployment processes, support delivery, and the customer experience.\nOccasionally work outside standard business hours to support go-lives, planned maintenance, or urgent customer needs.\nTravel to customer sites as required, up to 25%.\n To be successful in this role, you should:\nHave 5-10 years of experience deploying, administering, or supporting complex enterprise software systems, ideally within healthcare IT or medical imaging.\nHold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or have equivalent technical experience.\nDemonstrate a strong understanding of PACS, DICOM, and the infrastructure and workflows that support medical imaging environments.\nHave experience with Windows Server, virtualized or cloud environments such as VMware, Hyper-V, or Azure, and networking concepts including DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and routing.\nBe comfortable installing, configuring, upgrading, and troubleshooting enterprise applications.\nHave working knowledge of databases such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL and basic scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, or Bash.\nApproach troubleshooting methodically, with attention to system reliability, data integrity, and the impact on customer operations.\nCommunicate clearly with both technical and nontechnical audiences and take ownership of issues through resolution.\nBe organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing project work with customer support priorities.\nEnjoy collaborating, learning new technologies, and building skills across deployment and support.\nNice-to-haves:\nHands-on experience deploying or administering PACS, RIS, or VNA solutions.\nFamiliarity with HL7 and other healthcare integration technologies.\nExperience with cloud-hosted infrastructure or hybrid deployment models.\nUnderstanding of security practices such as encryption, certificates, and authentication.\nExperience with data migrations, disaster recovery, or performance optimization.\nExposure to Linux-based servers or containerized environments.\nExperience delivering technical training or mentoring colleagues.\nWhy this role?\nYour work will support the systems clinicians rely on to deliver patient care.\nYou’ll build broad technical experience across implementation, production support, and ongoing system improvement.\nYou’ll work closely with customers and colleagues to solve complex challenges in healthcare IT.\nYou’ll have opportunities to grow toward senior engineering, technical specialist, or leadership roles.\nOther information\nWe recruit on an ongoing basis, with the goal of having the right candidate start as soon as possible.\nThe salary range for this position is $95,000-$125,000, based on experience and qualifications.\nSectra provides a competitive total rewards package, including comprehensive benefits, a retirement plan with matching, and career development programs.\nSectra celebrates diversity and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
