You’ll coordinate service call-ins from customers, ensuring all are addressed in a timely manner. Using your expertise in dispatch operations, bin tracking, and route planning, you will develop cost-effective routes that minimize travel time and meet customer needs. You’ll also support and guide HDV Drivers to operate safely and in alignment with SECURE’s values, while maintaining compliance with company procedures and ensuring accurate documentation.\nThis position is based out of our Edmonton, AB field office.\nThe Team\nThe Edmonton Dispatch team is built on collaboration, communication and a shared commitment to safety and customer service. We work closely with our drivers, operations teams and customers to deliver safe, reliable service while keeping customer needs top of mind.\nWork Environment\nThis position is primarily Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with occasional after-hours support required to meet business needs.\nA Day in The Life\nOversee daily dispatch and bin tracking system operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.\nProvide feedback to the Transportation Supervisor regarding dispatch performance and tracking system improvements.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with HDV Drivers, ensuring open communication and support.\nBe accessible and available to assist with after-hours operational issues as needed.\nFoster a workplace culture that aligns with SECURE’s purpose and values.\nChampion a strong safety culture, supporting the development and execution of safety programs and initiatives.\nMaintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring general housekeeping standards are met.\nVerify that HDV Drivers are properly trained and competent in their roles.\nEnsure compliance with safety policies, operational procedures, and industry best practices.\nMonitor dispatch efficiency, ensuring cost-effective, technically sound operations.\nConfirm that HDV Drivers follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).\nEnsure compliance with all government and environmental regulatory standards.\nUphold high customer service standards, ensuring operational excellence and responsiveness.\nCollaborate with Operations Leaders and Support Teams to share best practices and drive continuous improvement.\nSupport the Transportation Supervisor, assuming delegated responsibilities when required and working closely with internal support teams.\nSkills, Experience & Qualifications\nGrade 12 diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).\nA minimum of 3 years’ experience operating Dispatch and Load Tracking Systems.\nExperience in the Waste or Transportation industry is preferred.\nWorking knowledge of the Oil & Gas industry, including oilfield roads, orientation requirements, and site access/egress limitations.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications.\nExperience with dispatching software or waste tracking systems is considered an asset.\nFamiliarity with TDG regulations and Provincial/Federal DOT regulations and permit requirements.\nStrong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.\nExcellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize.\nStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a proactive approach to operational issues.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.\nWhat's in it for you\nAt SECURE, we focus on opportunities for growth and improvement; for our employees, our customers, our partners, and the communities we operate in.
