We go beyond expectations - mitigating risks, reducing financial obligations, and maximizing value for our clients.\nJoin SECURE, where we step up to make a meaningful difference in the industries we serve and the world we share.\nYour Opportunity at SECURE\nAs our Scale Operations Administrator / Buyer, you will be responsible for performing a broad range of functions in support of the efficient and effective operation of a metals recycling facility.\nThis role is based out of our South Edmonton facility.\nWork Environment\nThis is a full time Monday to Friday role with rotating Saturdays.\nA Day in The Life\nDevelop and maintain comprehensive knowledge and skill in employing scrap purchasing and management software\nSupport customers and assign value to incoming metals\nCreate, manage and payout scale tickets\nWeigh trucks and customers in and out\nVisibly inspect every incoming load for non-metallics and hazardous or prohibited material\nUsing a radio, control customer unloading operations in the yard\nCreate bills of lading for outgoing truck shipments\nInteract in a collaborative and cooperative manner with: the dispatcher, truck drivers, equipment operators, the logistics team, supervisors and management.\nHandle customer inquiries regarding scrap metal pricing in a prompt, courteous and professional manner\nAssist front counter operations as required.\nSkills, Experience & Qualifications\nExcellent customer service skills are required\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills required\nProven ability to handle multiple priorities and ability to prioritize tasks\nStrong attention to detail\nSkilled in Microsoft Office Suite and data, including Microsoft Excel\nAdministration experience is preferred\nMust be self-motivated and able to function in a fast-paced exciting team environment\nMust be able to conduct physical tasks, including climbing up on trucks to inspect loads\nPrevious metal recycling experience would be an asset\nPrevious scale attendant experience would be an asset\nWhat's in it for you\nAt SECURE, we focus on opportunities for growth and improvement; for our employees, our customers, our partners, and the communities we operate in.
