Operators actively assist with standard operating procedures, hazard assessments, safety programs and environment protection, while keeping in constant contact with customers and demonstrating excellent communications skills and a high level of customer service.\nThis position is located at our Boundary Lake facility, 45 minutes east of Fort St. John, BC.\nThe Team\nThe team at our Boundary Lake facility is proud to operate safely while delivering reliable service to our customers. Every team member plays an important role by taking ownership of their work, using sound judgment, and contributing to the success of the facility.\nWork Environment\nThe schedule for this position is structured as a 4-on / 4-off rotation of 12-hour shifts, alternating between days and nights.\nA Day in The Life\nResponsible and accountable for the day-to-day operation of the facility\nResponsible for truck unloading, oil emulsion and water & vac trucks\nResponsible for oil treating with the treater, cooler or tank treating\nParticipating in waste processing, waste and mud tank operation, shaker & centrifuge operations and solids treating\nResponsible and accountable for the receipt, terminal storage and transportation of crude oil while adhering to Measurement & Crude Oil Quality compliance\nManaging ongoing water injection, filter changing and pump maintenance\nConducting treatment of solids on the waste pad\nConducting boiler operations, testing and steam system operations\nEnsuring that all corporate compliance programs are adhered to\nSubmitting truck tickets summary, daily plant checklists, and balance and transfers to the office\nParticipates in the Health & Safety Management System (HSMS)\nWaste plant operation (ensuring solids processing is meeting or exceeding landfill criteria and solids testing)\nFollowing water injection SOP’s and best practices to protect the disposal well integrity\nGeneral maintenance, ensure that the plant is kept clean and safe\nSkills, Experience & Qualifications\nA High School Diploma, General Education Diploma or equivalent\nOperational experience in waste processing, oil treating or water injection is considered a strong asset \nMidstream terminal operations experience is considered a strong asset\nSpecialty training in boilers, treaters, pumps (all), repairs, shaker/centrifuge and loader is considered an asset\nCurrent and valid safety tickets, including H2S Alive, First Aid Level One C, Confined Space Entry, WHMIS and TDG\nA strong attention to detail, communication skills with the ability to work long hours in a mentally and physically demanding work environment\nMust be able to document their work, perform and manage cross shift communication and ensure strategic communication with multiple stakeholders\nMust be able to multi-task and demonstrate excellent decision-making skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues\nMust demonstrate excellent customer service skills and safe work practices\nA valid and acceptable Driver’s license and successful completion of pre-employment testing\nWhat's in it for you\nAt SECURE, we focus on opportunities for growth and improvement; for our employees, our customers, our partners, and the communities we operate in.
