Safety is the cornerstone of our culture, because if we are not safe, nothing else matters.\nYour Opportunity at SECURE\nAs Facility Operator, you are responsible for the day-to-day safe and customer service-oriented operations of waste treatment, oil treatment, and water injection. You actively assist with standard operating procedures, hazard assessments, safety programs, and environmental protection, while maintaining regular communication with customers. Given the high level of customer interaction, strong communication skills and a commitment to exceptional service are essential.\nThis position is based at our Obed facility, approximately 30 km east of Hinton, AB.\nThe Team\nThe team at our Obed facility takes pride in working safely, supporting one another, and providing reliable service to our customers. Team members work together in a fast-paced environment and are committed to living SECURE's values every day.\nWork Environment\nThis position consists of 12-hour shifts on a 7-on / 7-off schedule, rotating between days and nights.\nA Day in The Life\nResponsible and accountable for the day-to-day operations of the facility\nResponsible for truck unloading, oil emulsion and water & vac trucks\nPerform oil treating activities using treaters, coolers, and tank treating systems.\nParticipating in waste processing, waste and mud tank operation, shaker & centrifuge operations and solids treating\nResponsible and accountable for the receipt, terminal storage and transportation of crude oil while adhering to Measurement & Crude Oil Quality compliance\nManaging ongoing water injection, filter changing and pump maintenance\nConducting treatment of solids on the waste pad\nConducting boiler operations, testing and steam system operations\nEnsuring that all corporate compliance programs are adhered to\nSubmitting truck tickets summary, daily plant checklists, and balance and transfers to the office\nParticipates in the Health & Safety Management System (HSMS)\nWaste plant operation (ensuring solids processing is meeting or exceeding landfill criteria and solids testing)\nFollowing water injection SOP’s and best practices to protect the disposal well integrity\nGeneral maintenance, ensure that the plant is kept clean and safe\nSkills, Experience & Qualifications\nA High School Diploma, General Education Diploma or equivalent \nExperience in waste processing, oil treating and water injection is considered an asset \nTraining in boilers, pumps, repairs, shakers/centrifuges and loaders is considered an asset \nCurrent and valid safety tickets, including H2S Alive, First Aid Level One C, Confined Space Entry, WHMIS and TDG \nStrong attention to detail and communication skills, with the ability to work long hours in a mentally and physically demanding environment \nAbility to document work, manage cross-shift communication and ensure clear communication with the rest of the team \nAbility to multitask and demonstrate excellent decision-making skills, including the ability to troubleshoot issues \nExcellent customer service skills and a strong commitment to safe work practices \nA valid and acceptable driver’s licence and successful completion of pre-employment testing \nAbility to manage multiple priorities and demonstrate good time management skills\nWhat's in it for you\nAt SECURE, we focus on opportunities for growth and improvement; for our employees, our customers, our partners, and the communities we operate in.
