You will coordinate project activities, support client relationships, prepare quotes, organize equipment and transportation, and help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and in compliance with regulatory requirements.\nThis role is based out of Edmonton, AB.\nThe Team\nThe Edmonton Waste Services team is a collaborative, customer-focused group driven by SECURE’s commitment to safety, service and entrepreneurial spirit. The team works together to understand customer needs, develop practical solutions and deliver reliable waste management services that minimize environmental impact.\nWork Environment\nThis is a Monday-to-Friday position working a standard 40-hour week at our Edmonton Transfer Station. The role may require occasional travel to customer and project sites, along with hands-on field support as needed.\nA Day in The Life\nServe as the primary operations contact for clients, supporting the effective delivery of contracts, projects and business opportunities.\nBuild and maintain strong, long-term client relationships in collaboration with the Sales team.\nPlan and coordinate daily field operations, including personnel, equipment, transportation, waste profiles and required documentation.\nPrepare project estimates, client quotations and operational plans for waste management services.\nCoordinate waste sampling, characterization, containerization, transportation and final disposal.\nMaintain a strong understanding of regulatory approvals, waste acceptance criteria and disposal requirements when directing waste to end-disposal locations.\nCoordinate supporting equipment such as vacuum trucks, forklifts, pumps and man lifts.\nConduct site visits and provide on-site support during project execution, including hands-on field work when required.\nSupport incident response activities, NORM surveys, field projects and customer training sessions.\nEnsure projects comply with SECURE’s safety standards, environmental requirements, TDG and applicable transportation regulations.\nReview field documentation, track project costs and support accurate reporting and billing.\nCollaborate with Operations Leaders and internal support teams to improve procedures, address potential hazards and ensure established processes are followed.\nIdentify opportunities to improve equipment, technology, processes and service delivery.\nSkills, Experience & Qualifications\nGrade 12 diploma or General Education Diploma (GED); post-secondary education in a related field is considered an asset.\nA valid Class 5 driver’s licence.\nMinimum of 2 years of experience in waste management or a similar industry.\nAbility to successfully complete pre-employment Alcohol and Drug testing.\nValid industry safety certifications, including H2S, First Aid and Fall Protection, would be considered an asset.\nExcellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.\nComprehensive understanding of environmental and transportation regulations and requirements, including waste characterization, container and segregation requirements, permit conditions, storage limits, lab packing, bulking and blending, commingling, labelling, inventory management, shipping, receiving and TDG.\nEffective interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear technical reports.\nAbility to liaise professionally with owners, customers, suppliers, subcontractors and consultants.\nStrong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address concerns and resolve issues diplomatically.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn company-specific applications.\nWhat's in it for you\nAt SECURE, we focus on opportunities for growth and improvement; for our employees, our customers, our partners, and the communities we operate in.
