This position will provide day-to-day leadership to the Accounts Payable team, support efficient and accurate processing, and help ensure strong service to internal stakeholders across the organization. Our culture emphasizes discipline, minimal distractions, and a results-driven approach to meeting both individual and collective targets.\nA Day in The Life\nThe responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:\nProvide leadership and expertise to the Accounts Payable Team\nConfirm that all transactions comply with financial policies/procedures and designed controls\nEnsure Vendor issues are investigated and resolved\nMaintain consisted weekly cheque runs and ensure accurate and timely filing of all records\nProvide support and assistance in an efficient and timely manner to internal stakeholders\nUnderstand the chart of accounts and ensuring coding is accurately applied\nPrepare AP process documentation and AP training manualsAssist with efficiency process review\nSupport month end review and procedures\nSkills, Experience & Qualifications\nThe individual in this role will have:\nA minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role\nExperience in team management\nDegree or Diploma in Accounting\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nExperience with Open Invoice/Medius is an asset\nExceptional interpersonal and organizational skills\nAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and work under tight deadlines\nAbility to handle confidential information\nExcellent attention to detail\nWhat's in it for you\nAt SECURE, we focus on opportunities for growth and improvement; for our employees, our customers, our partners, and the communities we operate in.
