This is a hands-on role, so we're looking for someone who can turn their hand to a range of jobs, solve problems independently and confidently coordinate other trades when required.\nYou don't need to be formally qualified across every trade. What matters most is broad hands-on experience, strong practical ability and a genuine can-do attitude. Experience across carpentry, electrical, plumbing, waterproofing, tiling, roofing or general handyman work will all be valuable.\nThe work follows the installation sites, so regular travel is a key part of the role. You'll be based around Melbourne, Hunter Valley or Brisbane, with projects taking place across regional and country areas throughout your state. Installations can range from several days to a couple of weeks or more depending on the size and complexity of the home.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\n Lead prefabricated and modular home installations from start to finish \n Coordinate builders, electricians, plumbers and other trades on site \n Carry out hands-on work across carpentry, waterproofing, tiling, roofing and general handyman tasks as required \n Troubleshoot and resolve unexpected site issues \n Guide other trades through the modular and prefab installation process \n Ensure installations are completed efficiently and to a high standard \n Keep the wider team updated on site progress and flag issues early \n Travel to regional and country installation sites as projects come up \nThis role suits someone who's spent years working across different trades, knows their way around a construction site and is comfortable being the person others look to when something needs to get done.\nRequirements\nExtensive hands-on experience across construction, trades or general handyman work\n15+ years of varied trade experience preferred, although this is a guide rather than a strict requirement\nExperience across multiple areas such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, waterproofing, tiling, roofing or general handyman work\nConfident leading jobs on site and coordinating other trades\nStrong practical problem-solving skills and ability to work independently\nComfortable travelling regularly to regional and country installation sites\nOwn reliable vehicle for travel to and from sites\nStrong reliability, communication and work ethic\nComfortable learning new modular and prefabricated installation methods\nAustralian working rights or an appropriate working visa\nWhite Card preferred; additional site-specific licence requirements are currently being confirmed\nBenefits\nFull-time opportunity with flexibility around working patterns\nStandard Monday-Friday schedule, with the option to arrange a compressed four-day week with longer days\nTravel costs funded on top of your hourly rate\nAccommodation covered when working away from your base\nMeals covered while away on installation projects\nInterstate travel and flights covered where required\nOpportunity for ongoing full-time work as the installation team expands\nWork across a growing pipeline of modular and prefabricated housing projects","description_format":"text","description_chars":3869,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":15,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":[],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-22T13:42:21Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":17,"band":"cold","label":"Long shot","p_open":1,"p_active":0.305,"p_room":0.55,"age_days":27,"expected_fill_days":26,"reasons":["conf:1","agency","stale_co","win:tail"],"computed_at":"2026-10-20T05:45:00Z"},"pay":{"stated_usd_annual":70000,"is_top_pay":false},"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/secureiq-handyman-carpenter-installation-lead","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/secureiq-handyman-carpenter-installation-lead.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-20T12:46:19Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":14112,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-21T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":678280},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=678280"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fsecureiq-handyman-carpenter-installation-lead"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fsecureiq-handyman-carpenter-installation-lead"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fsecureiq-handyman-carpenter-installation-lead"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/secureiq-handyman-carpenter-installation-lead\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fsecureiq-handyman-carpenter-installation-lead"}]}
