Take ownership of components of the migration and operation of business-critical platforms and services within AWS.\nMajor Responsibilities\nDesign, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code principles\n\nSupport production and non-production environments with a focus on availability, performance, and security\n\nDeliver backend infrastructure operations including server management, updates, storage, failover, and logging\n\nBuild and maintain core AWS services across compute, networking, storage, and identity (e.g. EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, CloudWatch)\n\nCollaborate with application, DevOps, and security teams to deliver resilient cloud solutions\n\nIntegrate infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable, repeatable deployments\n\nImplement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability practices\n\nInvestigate incidents, contribute to root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement\n\nSupport security, compliance, and audit requirements within cloud environments, including regulated or security-sensitive contexts\n\nWork with cloud partners and vendors, including AWS and third parties, on architecture reviews and optimisation\n\nAutomate infrastructure provisioning and operational processes to reduce manual effort\n\nDocument infrastructure, standards, and operational processes\n\nPrimary working hours aligned to European time zones. Participation in a global on-call rotation.\n\nWhat Success Looks Like\nDeliver stable, secure, and scalable AWS environments that support business-critical platforms\n\nContribute to the successful migration and operation of core business platforms and services in AWS\n\nMaintain strong system availability and performance across production environments\n\nIdentify and resolve infrastructure issues proactively, improving reliability over time\n\nCollaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver consistent, high-quality solutions\n\nEstablish reliable and repeatable infrastructure practices\n\nEducation\nDegree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field\n\nExperience & Knowledge\nHands-on experience with AWS in production environments\n\nStrong knowledge of core AWS services such as VPC, IAM, EC2, containers, storage, and monitoring\n\nExperience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Terraform, AWS CDK, or similar)\n\nUnderstanding of cloud networking, security, and identity management\n\nExperience supporting highly available, business-critical systems\n\nFamiliarity with cloud migration initiatives\n\nExperience integrating infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling\n\nExposure to containerised workloads or orchestration platforms (e.g. ECS, EKS)\n\nExperience working within regulated or security-focused environments\n\nExperience working with distributed teams\n\nAWS certifications (e.g. Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator) are beneficial\n\nSkills & Competencies\nStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills\n\nClear communication across technical and non-technical teams\n\nCollaborative approach to working with engineering, security, and operations\n\nAbility to prioritise and manage workload effectively\n\nAdaptability in a changing environment\n\nCommitment to continuous learning and improvement\n\nWhy Join Us\nWork on meaningful cloud transformation initiatives, helping to move critical platforms into AWS.
