Reporting to the Security Lead and/or District Manager, you will oversee guarding operations across one or more sites, supervise frontline and supervisory personnel, and serve as a trusted point of contact for our clients.\nThis is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can balance service excellence, team development, and cost control while holding the standard on compliance and professionalism.\nWhat You'll Do\nLead Operations\nManage a shift or segment of guarding operations across multiple sites, providing direct supervision of officers and supervisory staff.\nConduct regular post inspections and audits to verify that post orders are followed and service standards are met.\nTake timely corrective action when service gaps or performance issues are identified.\nPartner with Clients\nBuild strong client relationships through regular contact, status meetings, and proactive issue resolution.\nSupport new client start-ups and contribute to security planning, risk assessments, and site surveys.\nReview post orders and communicate updates clearly to affected personnel.\nDevelop and Retain Talent\nWork with line management on the onboarding, training, and development of a high-performing team.\nCoach employees, and administer progressive discipline when required, ensuring every team member is treated with dignity and respect.\nFoster a positive, professional workplace culture.\nManage Resources and Costs\nCoordinate scheduling, staffing, and equipment needs with line management.\nAdjust schedules in real time to meet client requirements while controlling labor costs.\nReview reports and records to confirm commitments have been met and client directions followed.\nEnsure Compliance\nEnsure all personnel understand and comply with applicable union laws, regulations, company policies, and client requirements.\nSupport line management in resolving legal, financial, HR, and administrative matters promptly.\nContribute to the Business\nProvide input into company initiatives and continuous improvement.\nPerform other duties of a similar nature and scope as assigned.\nWhat You Bring\nRequired\n2 to 3 years of professional experience, including supervisory or team leadership experience.\nWorking knowledge of security operations and supervisory best practices.\nExcellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to produce clear, concise, professional reports.\nStrong planning, organizational, and leadership skills.\nA client-first mindset and the interpersonal skills to build credibility at every level, from frontline officers to client executives.\nInitiative, sound judgment, and a track record of delivering results.\nHigh standards of integrity, ethics, and personal accountability.\nValid provincial driver's license.\nAvailability to work an assigned shift, including rotating schedules, weekends, evenings, overnights, and on-call coverage.\nAssets\nDiploma in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field.\nPrior experience in security or the military.\nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive hourly rate of $36.77\nComprehensive medical and dental coverage\nEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)\nPaid vacation and sick time\nProfessional development and clear pathways for advancement\nWORKING CONDITIONS (Physical/Mental Demands)\nWith or without reasonable accommodation, requires the physical and mental capacity to perform effectively all essential functions.
