The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills in Python, hands-on experience with Pytest and Playwright, and a solid understanding of API and microservices testing. You will work closely with Engineering, Product, DevOps, and QA teams to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nDesign, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Python and Pytest.\nBuild and maintain modern UI and end-to-end automation using Playwright.\nDevelop automated test suites for API, UI, backend, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.\nDrive an API-first automation strategy for microservices and platform capabilities.\nValidate REST APIs, service-to-service integrations, authentication, data contracts, error handling, and distributed workflows.\nValidate data-processing pipelines and data integrity using Python, SQL, and API-based validation.\nTest complex workflows across Securonix products, including SIEM and ThreatQ/TIP.\nDevelop reusable automation libraries, utilities, fixtures, test-data management, and reporting capabilities.\nIntegrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and enable continuous testing.\nAnalyze automation failures, application logs, API responses, and backend data to perform root-cause analysis.\nParticipate in design and architecture discussions to improve testability, observability, reliability, and product quality.\nIdentify regression risks and ensure appropriate automated coverage for new features and production defect fixes.\nMentor QA/SDET engineers on automation design, coding standards, debugging, and testing best practices.\nExplore AI-assisted testing and automation to improve test coverage, productivity, and defect detection.\n\nRequired Technical Skills:\n\n5–8 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Test Automation, or SDET roles.\nStrong programming experience in Python.\nStrong hands-on experience with Pytest, including fixtures, parametrization, reusable libraries, and framework design.\nStrong hands-on experience with Playwright for UI and end-to-end automation.\nStrong experience in REST API automation and testing.\nExperience designing or contributing to scalable automation frameworks—not only individual test scripts.\nStrong understanding of microservices and distributed architectures.\nExperience with SQL and backend/data validation.\nExperience testing complex integration and end-to-end workflows.\nExperience integrating automation with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, Harness, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.\nGood understanding of Git, Linux/Unix, debugging, logging, and defect-management tools such as JIRA.\nStrong understanding of software-testing principles, test-design techniques, regression strategies, and Agile development practices.\n\nWhat We're Looking For:\n\nStrong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.\nAbility to take end-to-end ownership of quality for a feature or product area.\nAbility to understand complex product architectures and identify appropriate testing strategies.\nStrong collaboration skills for working with Engineering, Product, DevOps, and other QA/SDET teams.\nPassion for automation, cybersecurity, AI, and modern quality engineering.\n\nWhy Join Securonix\n\nWork at the intersection of cybersecurity, AI, automation, cloud, and large-scale data platforms while building quality-engineering solutions for products used by global enterprises.
