As Commercial Manager, you will provide the commercial leadership, contractual discipline and strategic advice required to support the successful delivery of a major EPCM project.\nBased in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, you will work closely with project leadership, legal, project controls, procurement and the client to manage contractual obligations, commercial risk, change and claims throughout project execution.\nThis is an opportunity to influence decisions at the centre of a complex project, create clarity around commercial exposure and help strengthen project performance, client relationships and sustainable profitability.\nIn this role, you will:\nDevelop and implement the project’s commercial and contract administration strategies.\nProvide expert commercial and contractual advice to project leadership and delivery teams.\nIdentify commercial risks and opportunities and develop strategies to eliminate, mitigate or realise them.\nSupport the negotiation and administration of project agreements including major equipment purchase orders, manufacturing and supply contracts and construction works packages. head contracts, subcontracts , purchase orders and other project agreements.\nManage EPCM contractual compliance notices, variations, claims, extensions of time and commercial correspondence.\nWork with project controls to assess the cost and schedule implications of changes and emerging issues.\nSupport the resolution of significant contractual and commercial matters.\nLead commercial reviews and ensure compliance with contract administration policies, procedures and delegated authorities.\nMaintain accurate registers, records and supporting documentation for commercial decisions and claims.\nBuild strong relationships with the client, internal stakeholders, suppliers, subcontractors and external advisers.\nProvide commercial guidance and capability development to project personnel.\nLead with integrity, sound judgement and a strong focus on protecting project and business value.\nWhat we’re looking for\nYou’re a commercially astute leader who can interpret complex contracts, anticipate exposure and develop practical strategies that protect value while supporting productive client and delivery relationships.\nBachelor’s Degree in Law, Engineering, Commerce, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a relevant discipline; Postgraduate contract law or commercial qualification is advantageous.\nWill have 15+ years of experience managing engineering and construction contract negotiations, administration and claims management.\nStrong understanding of commercial models used in EPCM project delivery.\nProven capability managing variations, claims, contractual notices and major and commercial issues and disputes.\nExpert negotiation, stakeholder engagement and written communication skills.\nAbility to translate commercial strategy into practical project action.\nHigh professional ethics, integrity and sound commercial judgement.\nExperience in the resources or mineral processing sector is strongly preferred.\nKnowledge of Brazilian commercial and contracting environments is highly advantageous.\nProfessional fluency in Portuguese and English is required. \nWhy this role?\nThis is an opportunity to provide commercial leadership on a major mineral processing project, influence critical decisions and help establish the contractual discipline behind successful delivery.\nIf you’re looking for more in your next move, you’ll find it here: more opportunity to influence commercial strategy, more impact through value-focused decisions, more perspective through complex stakeholder engagement, and more purpose supporting the resources and critical minerals projects helping shape the future.\nIf this opportunity resonates with you, we’d love to hear from you.
