We are currently seeking a Process Engineer for our Phoenix, AZ. office.\nThe selected candidate will provide process engineering support to Sedgman design and engineering team, helping deliver high quality projects to clients. As part of the process team, daily involvement in calculations, drawings, reviews, reports, modelling and client support activities will be required.\nIt's an exciting time to join Sedgman as we are positioned for growth in North America, and at Sedgman, we are the specialists in lithium, potash, iron ore and other critical minerals so vital in today’s world.\nCome join a team of forward thinking, enthusiastic, results-driven, collaborative professionals!!\nKey Responsibilities:\nProvide process design support through the engineering phases PEA, PFS, FS, conceptual design, front-end engineering and detailed design.\nPerform studies into operational site improvements and modifications\nDevelop, improve and promote the effective use of operations systems (i.e. JDE, SPRS, Synergy, Aconex, SMS, Dochub)\nTroubleshoot and resolve process issues.\nDevelop process flow sheets and prepare process design criteria.\nPrepare process calculations, PFDs, heat & material balances and P&IDs.\nSize process equipment and develop specifications.\nCoordinate with other departments to ensure safe and efficient operations\nStay up-to-date with advancements in mining processing technology and recommend implementation of new equipment or processes \nAdditional duties as required\nRequirements:\nBachelor of Engineering (Mineral Processing, Metallurgy or Chemical Disciplines)\nWith 2 - 5 years of work experience; process design experience preferred \nMust be eligible to register with the Arizona State Board of Technical Registration to obtain the Professional Engineer licensing (P.E.).\nKnowledge of process engineering, equipment, and technologies\n\nGood communication skills with well-developed written and oral skills.\nProven ability to work as part of a team.\nStrong problem-solving and critical thinking skills\n\nMust be able to travel to Mine sites, which may include some secondments\n\nMust be eligible to work in USA without sponsorship\n\nWhat is in it for you?\nOpportunity to work on significant mining projects, in Canada and around the world. \nSignificant opportunities to grow your career with Sedgman \nAccess to world leading mentors across disciplines and commodities.\nGreat Benefits - 401k matching plan, Health and benefits package.\nThe salary offered to the successful person for this position will consider education, experience, relevant skills and capability, geographic location and market conditions at the time of hire.\nSedgman is part of the CIMIC Group’s mineral processing company and is a leading provider of mineral processing and associated infrastructure solutions to the global resources industry.\nOur Mission is to generate sustainable returns for our shareholders by delivering projects for our clients while providing safe, rewarding and fulfilling careers for our people.
