The role will oversee cost control, scheduling, forecasting and reporting, helping projects achieve their quality, safety, design integrity, cost and schedule objectives.\nKey responsibilities\nDeliver project controls functions across assigned projects, including cost control, scheduling, forecasting and reporting, to a high standard and in a timely manner.\nDevelop and review project plans, schedules, progress reports and associated project controls documentation.\nProactively support Project Leads, including coordinating design activities and advising where corrective action is required.\nEnsure internal project controls processes are consistently followed.\nIdentify opportunities to improve project controls systems and support the implementation of improvements.\nCollaborate effectively with Project Delivery and Engineering teams, as well as functional teams including IT, Human Resources and Finance.\nEnsure appropriate documentation and training are available for the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Professional Services Automation (PSA) systems across the business.\nLead effective meetings and represent the company in communications relating to project controls.\nQualifications, skills and experience\nMinimum 10 years’ experience in project services within a consulting and/or project delivery environment.\nMinimum 5 years’ experience within a minerals processing engineering consulting environment, with exposure to portfolio management and medium-sized projects.\nDemonstrated experience using project management, cost control, scheduling, forecasting, resourcing and accounting systems, including Primavera P6.\nStrong understanding of cost control, scheduling, earned value reporting, forecasting, invoicing and change management.\nDemonstrated leadership experience supporting multidisciplinary projects.\nProven ability to manage project controls through periods of changing priorities, demands and timelines.\nStrong understanding of the commercial environment and its implications for successful project delivery.\nDemonstrated ability to solve problems and manage conflicts or challenges affecting project delivery.\nAdvanced written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing.\nStrong interpersonal skills, including negotiation, persuasion and conflict
