As a Project Cost Controller, you will help maintain the financial visibility, forecasting discipline and cost confidence required to support the successful delivery of a major EPCM project.\nBased across Belo Horizonte and the project site in Brazil, you will work closely with project controls, commercial, procurement, finance and project delivery teams to monitor commitments, expenditure, forecasts, changes and cost performance.\nThis is an opportunity to join the project during a critical stage of delivery and provide the accurate information and analysis that enable timely, well-informed decisions.\nIn this role, you will:\nPrepare and maintain project budgets, forecasts, cost codes and cost reports.\nMonitor commitments, expenditure, accruals, cash flow and forecast costs to completion.\nAnalyse actual and forecast performance against approved budgets and project baselines.\nIdentify cost trends, variances and emerging issues and provide clear supporting analysis.\nMaintain accurate cost information within project and enterprise systems.\nSupport earned value reporting and the integration of cost, schedule and progress data.\nTrack scope changes, variations, risks, opportunities and contingencies.\nSupport progress claims, invoicing and project financial reporting.\nReview subcontractor and supplier progress claims, commitments and invoices.\nAssist with estimates, feasibility assessments and project financial planning.\nWork with project teams to improve cost awareness, data quality and forecasting accuracy.\nProvide timely cost information to project leadership, the client and relevant stakeholders.\nWhat we’re looking for\nYou’re an analytical and detail-focused cost professional who understands how accurate information, disciplined forecasting and constructive stakeholder engagement contribute to successful project delivery.\nBachelors Degree in engineering, construction management, project management, commerce or a related discipline.\n5-7 years of relevant cost control or project controls experience within mining, construction, engineering or a related industry.\nProfessional fluency in Portuguese and English is required.\nPractical project or site-based experience is required.
