This person will be based in Brazil office with the expectation for regular site travel.\nThe Senior Project Engineer will support EPCM projects in Brazil, they will be involved in coordinating project activities, conducting risk assessments and developing risk management strategies to mitigate risks and to ensure the project is completed safely, meets design criteria, in specification, on time and within budget.\nSedgman Pty Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of CIMIC Group Limited- one of the world’s leading international contractors and the world’s largest contract miner- is a market leader in the design, construction, and operation of mineral processing plants for the global resources sector.\nCome join a growing business and a winning team!\nKey Responsibilities include:\nCoordinate and administer project activities in accordance with approved plans, designs and specifications.\n\nInterpret engineering designs and support effective implementation for the duration of the project.\n\nCoordinate engineering deliverables and manage interfaces between design, procurement and construction teams.\n\nAssist with the development, maintenance and tracking of project schedules.\n\nMonitor project progress and report on performance against programme, cost and scope.\n\nArrange, administer and manage supply and works contracts in line with project requirements.\n\nEnsure timely issue and compliance of contracts and purchase orders with head contract and internal procedures.\n\nManage scope variations, ensuring approvals, documentation and cost impacts are controlled.\n\nCoordinate and manage subcontractors to ensure safe, compliant and timely delivery of works.\n\nReview and progress vendor and subcontractor documentation to prevent delays.\n\nRaise, track and close out technical queries with design teams and stakeholders.\n\nMaintain accurate and compliant project documentation, records and filing systems.\n\nParticipate in site and project meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nCoordinate the project risk and opportunity management process\n\nFacilitate risk identification and assessment workshops with project disciplines and stakeholders\n\nEstablish and maintain the project risk and opportunity register\n\nSupport the assessment of probability, impact, controls, residual exposures and response priorities\n\nWork with risk owners to define practical mitigation actions, responsibilities and target dates\n\nMaintain accurate records and evidence supporting risk decisions and governance requirements.\n\nWhat are we looking for? Qualifications:\nBachelor of Engineering (Process, Chemical, Metallurgy, Mechanical, Electrical or Civil)\n\nWill have 15+ years’ of relevant experience in EPCM project delivery, engineering, project study delivery, and/or site operations/support(in mining & mineral processing)\n\nDemonstrated experience at a senior level (2+ yrs) working on a mine site in a project/construction environment is required\n\nExperience in risk management analysis, cost control, planning, JDE (or similar cost management systems) and design coordination\n\nStrong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.\n\nPrevious experience with large (mining) clients.\n\nAbility to safely and effectively self-manage time, priorities and activities\n\nDedicated team player;
