Here, there’s no limit to what you can achieve.\nADJUSTER TRAINEE - Co-Op StudentPRIMARY PURPOSE: To perform in a support role as defined by the sponsoring department management; to complete non-complex projects assigned; network with apprentices and Sedgwick colleagues.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES\nCompletes assigned non-complex projects as defined by the sponsoring department management. \nShadows experts who investigate and assemble facts from an insurance perspective. \nLearns from business line leaders/experts to gain understanding of the insurance and engineering processes in office and in the field. \nAssists with projects, observe meetings and inspections. \nTrains on insurance coverages and principles, which may include analysis of loss experience, financial conditions and physical characteristics of risks. \nParticipates in formalized training on the insurance industry, systems, report writing, and presentation planning and skills in order that they can be ready for the final report presentation. \n\nADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES\nPerforms other duties as assigned. \nSupports the organization's quality program(s). \n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nEducation & Licensing\nCurrently enrolled or recently graduated in a diploma or degree program and in good standing at an accredited college or university is required. \nBusiness, insurance, accounting, or engineering programs are preferred. \nAbility to obtain applicable Adjuster Licensing \nExperience\nPrior work-related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. \nSkills & Knowledge\nBasic knowledge of insurance, claims or business management \nExcellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills \nPC literate, including Microsoft Office products and Excel, PowerPoint \nAnalytical and interpretive skills \nStrong organizational skills \nExcellent interpersonal skills \nExcellent negotiation skills \nAbility to work in a team environment \nAbility to meet or exceed Performance Competencies \nCompensation Information:\nHourly: $18.00 per hourCAD\nThis position is full-time, and compensation is hourly.\nJob type: We are currently hiring for this position\nCompensation is determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
