Claims Coordinator

Join our growing team as a Claims Co-Ordinator, playing a vital role in delivering an efficient, high-quality claims service and exceptional customer experience.

This role is ideal for an organised and customer-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being at the heart of the claims journey. As a Claims Co-Ordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring new claims are handled efficiently from first notification through to allocation, providing vital support to both customers and loss adjusters while delivering a high standard of service at every stage.

Working as part of a collaborative team, you will be responsible for setting up new claims accurately, triaging cases, coordinating adjuster appointments, managing diaries and arranging contractors where required. Acting as a key point of contact, you will communicate confidently with customers, policyholders, clients and colleagues, ensuring enquiries are resolved professionally and service standards are consistently met.

The successful candidate will combine strong administration, planning and communication skills with excellent attention to detail. You will be comfortable managing multiple priorities, working to deadlines and providing a friendly, professional service over the telephone and via email. Previous experience within insurance or a professional office environment would be advantageous, although equally important is a positive attitude, a proactive approach and a willingness to learn.

  • Attention to Detail - Ensures all claim information is accurately captured and entered onto systems with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Communication Skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle queries clearly and professionally.
  • Administrative Experience - Previous experience in a professional office or administrative environment is advantageous.
  • Insurance Knowledge - Prior experience within the insurance industry would be beneficial, particularly within claims or customer service environments.
  • IT Literacy - Competent user of Microsoft Word and Excel, with accurate keyboard and data-entry skills.
  • Prioritisation Skills - Able to work efficiently under pressure, balancing competing priorities while meeting service standards and deadlines.
  • Multitasking Ability - Comfortable managing a varied workload, from claim setup and diary management to handling inbound calls and communications.
  • Teamwork - Works collaboratively with colleagues while supporting wider business objectives and service delivery.
  • Self-Motivation - Capable of working independently, using initiative and confidence to resolve day-to-day tasks and challenges.
  • Flexibility & Adaptability - Responsive to changing workloads and business needs, maintaining a positive and proactive approach.
  • Professionalism - Demonstrates a professional attitude at all times, with strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Educational Standard - GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent) as a minimum qualification.
