Experienced Motor Claims Handler

Job Location: Ireland - Home working

Job Type: Permanent

Remuneration: Competitive salary taking into account skills, experience and qualifications

We are looking for experienced Motor Claim Handlers to join our expanding Motor Division.

We are growing, and we need your support in both maintaining this momentum and building on our experience levels across the division.

We are looking for Claim Handlers capable of managing a portfolio of motor damage claims with little supervision and are looking to personally develop and take advantage of opportunities that arise as the division continues its period of growth.

As an experienced Claim Handler, you will be expected to support your less experienced colleagues, providing mentorship and training as and when required. You will be well versed in the management of all motor damage claims, both first and third party. Technically, you will be able to demonstrate a strong knowledge of the assessment of both quantum and liability processes, as well as an ability to determine coverage. You will be able to demonstrate that you are familiar with the CPC requirements, and that the customer is at the centre of all that you do.

You'll bring strong decision-making skills, sound numeric ability, excellent attention to detail and the confidence to negotiate, influence and solve problems in a fast-paced, environment with deadlines.

The skills you will have when you apply:

  • Claims Portfolio Management - Essential experience managing motor claims, ideally including a portfolio of 150+ files with specific closure and quality targets.
  • Insurance Qualifications - APA qualification is the minimum requirement; the expectation is that CIP would have been achieved and you are moving onto MDI and more.
  • Technical Claims Knowledge - Good knowledge of motor claims classifications, motor policies, liability, indemnity, quantum, market agreements, claims processes and relevant industry developments.
  • Investigation & Decision Making - Confident carrying out desktop liability investigations, reviewing evidence, determining liability and making accurate, well-reasoned decisions.
  • Customer, Client & Complaint Handling - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused approach, confidence liaising with clients and colleagues, and complaint handling experience considered advantageous.
  • Negotiation & Claims Resolution - Strong negotiating, influencing and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and settle claims in a timely, compliant and commercially aware manner.
  • Attention to Detail & Accuracy - High levels of accuracy and attention to detail when reviewing documentation, assessing claims and maintaining records.
  • Adaptability & Resilience - Able to thrive in a dynamic, pressurised and target-driven environment, managing deadlines, changing priorities and business needs with a positive and flexible approach.

What we’ll give you for this role:

  • Bonus/incentive scheme
  • 20 days' annual leave entitlement
  • Bike to Work Scheme
  • Tax Saver Travel Scheme
  • Discounted onsite Gym Membership (Dublin 4)
  • Discounted onsite Montessori (Dublin 4)
  • EAP - Employee Assistance Programme
  • Life Cover
  • PHI - Permanent Health Insurance
  • Exams & Professional Membership Fees
  • Professional and personal development opportunities
