In this role, you will drive our operations and incident management initiatives, ensuring our systems remain robust, scalable, and resilient at scale. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify operational gaps and implement solutions that enable seamless deployment, observability, and maintenance of our system\nKey Responsibilities\nIncident Management & Response \nLead/contribute to incident response efforts during critical system outages and performance degradations\nDevelop and maintain incident response procedures, runbooks, and escalation protocols\nConduct thorough post-incident reviews and drive implementation of preventive measures\nCoordinate cross-functional teams during high-severity incidents\nBuild and maintain incident management tooling and automation\nManage stakeholders expectations\nSystem Operations & Reliability \nDesign, implement, and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability across our system\nDevelop automation tools to reduce manual operational overhead\nEnsure system SLAs and SLOs are met consistently\nSoftware Development \nBuild internal tools, APIs, and platforms to improve operational efficiency\nCreate dashboards and reporting systems for operational metrics\nCollaboration & Process Improvement\nPartner with development teams to improve system reliability and operability\nEstablish and refine operational processes and best practices\nMentor team members on incident response and operational procedures\nParticipate in on-call rotation and provide operational leadership during incidents\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives based on operational data and feedback\nRequired Qualifications\nTechnical Skills\n5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on operations\nProficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java/Kotlin, TypeScript or similar)\nExperience in modern web application technologies/tools such as PostgresDB, Kotlin, AWS\nKnowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation\nOperational Experience\nProven experience in incident management and response procedures\nExperience with on-call responsibilities and escalation processes\nUnderstanding of system reliability concepts (SLAs, SLOs)\nKnowledge of networking, security, and database administration concepts\nExperience with configuration management and deployment strategies\nSoft Skills\nExcellent problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities\nStrong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences\nAbility to work effectively under pressure during incident situations\nCollaborative mindset with cross-functional teams\nDetail-oriented approach to documentation and process improvement\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with AWS and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)\nUnderstanding of monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar)\nExperience with APM tools (New Relic, Datadog, AppDynamics)\nExperience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)\nBackground in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering practices\nExperience with log aggregation and analysis tools\nUnderstanding of security operations and compliance requirements\nContribute to system architecture decisions with operations
