All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to religion, race, color, national origin, age, sex, height, weight, disability, familial status, or marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, military or veteran status, or any other basis protected by local, state, or federal law.\nSummary\nThe Site Coordinator creates and maintains After School and Summer programs that serve youth by providing enrichment in many subjects including literacy, outdoor and environmental activities, social-emotional learning, nutrition, enrichment, and academic and emotional support.\nEssential Job Duties\nPrepare and conduct high-quality lessons that align with grant objectives, and provide academic and social enrichment to students\nStay in close communication with students’ school-day teachers in order to provide supportive homework help and academic assistance\nBecome well-versed in requirements, understand and ensure compliance and data collection required by DHHS/MiLEAPand Michigan Department of Education (MDE)\nProvide leadership and supervise SEEDS After School site team by providing the following:Supervision\nOversight\nProblem solving\nMonitoring support/team work\n\nWork with the SEEDS After School Circle group on the development of program projects and next actions\nEnsure that documentation required by MDE and SEEDS is tracked and reported in a timely manner\nActively recruit students into the SEEDS After School program\nIncrease the capacity of SEEDS After School to better serve students, families, schools and the community at large through resource procurement and communications\nBe aware of, and manage, SEEDS After School site budget\nPlan and implement a 6 - 8 week summer youth day camp that meets all the above requirements\nOther Responsibilities\nCommunicate with, and solicit assistance from other SEEDS team members to complete responsibilities, as needed\nAll other duties as assigned\nPosition Information\nSchool year work hours: 38 hours per week, Monday - Thursday, approximately 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM, with occasional additional evening or weekend hours as needed\nSummer Program work hours: 38 hour per week, Monday - Thursday, approximately 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with occasional evening or weekend hours as needed\nPay Range $21.36-23.14/hr\nQualifications\nBachelor’s Degree preferred\nMinimum of 1 year working with youth\nPrevious supervisory experience preferred\nMust be able to pass all required background checks\nMust be First Aid/CPR certified\nMust meet all DHHS/MiLEAPqualifications as stated in theLicensing Rules for Child Care Centers booklet\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to stand for up to 3 hours at a time\nAbility to lift up to 30 lbs\nAbility to walk up and down stairs regularly\nAbility to stoop, kneel, and pick up items from the floor to a standing position\nAbility/willingness to spend up to an hour outdoors in summer and winter temperatures and weather conditions\nAbility to hike on uneven terrain for up to 3 hours\nAbility to hear sounds and recognize difference between them\nAbility to run short periods of time\nMust be able to easily get up and down off of the floor\nRequired Skills\nAbility to connect well with children\nSelf-motivated/Independent worker\nDetail-oriented\nOrganized\nAbility to manage and keep track of many deadlines\nAbility to supervise and lead a team of support staff\nStrong and clear communication via phone, email and in-person meetings\nFamiliarity with Google products (gmail, drive, calendar, etc) and Microsoft office products\nAbility to read and comprehend DHHS/MiLEAPprogram requirements\nStrong general writing skills\nDon’t meet every single requirement?
