In this role, you'll play an important part in supporting our financial operations, with a particular focus on sales commissions, SaaS financial metrics, and financial reporting.\nWorking closely with our VP of Financial Planning & Analysis, Revenue Operations, and Accounting teams, you'll help ensure the accuracy of our commission calculations and financial data while contributing to the insights that drive business decisions.\nThis is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on commission experience who wants to broaden their expertise in financial planning and analysis within a growing software company.\nWhat You'll Do\nOwn sales commission calculations: Interpret variable compensation plans, calculate monthly, quarterly, and annual commissions, and partner with Accounting to ensure accurate reporting.\nTrack key SaaS financial metrics: Support monthly reporting and analysis of Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), including changes in revenue, customer retention, and other subscription-based business metrics.\nSupport financial reporting: Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for leadership and investors.\nContribute to budgeting and forecasting: Assist with annual operating plans, financial forecasts, budget-versus-actual analysis, and headcount reporting.\nImprove financial processes: Identify opportunities to streamline commission calculations, enhance financial models, and improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.\nCollaborate across teams: Partner with Finance, Accounting, and Revenue Operations to maintain reliable financial data and support business needs.\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.\n2+ years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, sales compensation, or financial analysis.\nHands-on experience calculating and managing sales commissions or variable compensation, including interpreting commission plans and translating plan terms into accurate calculations.\nStrong Excel skills, including the ability to work with complex data, perform calculations, and maintain financial models.\nStrong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.\nAbility to manage recurring deadlines and work effectively within monthly and quarterly financial reporting cycles.\nStrong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.\nNice to Have\nExperience working in a SaaS or subscription-based software company.\nFamiliarity with SaaS financial metrics such as ARR, gross revenue retention, and net revenue retention.\nExperience supporting budgeting, forecasting, or financial planning activities.\nUnderstanding of financial statements, including how the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement relate to one another.\nExperience with sales commission management platforms, particularly Everstage.\nFamiliarity with financial planning software, Salesforce, or other financial reporting tools.\nExperience preparing financial reports or presentations for senior leadership.\nBenefits\nSeeq is a remote-first (only) company founded by serial entrepreneurs.
