The role translates strategic objectives into actionable plans while balancing technical leadership, people management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive engineering excellence and continuous improvement.\nIn this role, you will have the opportunity to:\nBuild and guide high-performing teams of experienced technical professionals through hiring, mentoring, career development, and performance management.\nFoster an engineering culture centered on ownership, reliability, collaboration, agility, and engineering excellence.\nTranslate strategic goals into actionable software development roadmaps, balancing innovation, technical debt, and business continuity.\nCollaborate with architects, cloud infrastructure, SRE, security, application, Product Management, and Product Design teams to align delivery across functions and development centres.\nMonitor resourcing, capability, and critical people dependencies, and plan measures to mitigate future risks.\nEmbed security, compliance, high availability, disaster recovery readiness, and SRE practices including SLAs, SLOs, and incident response into team delivery.\nContribute to engineering strategy, future capacity, investment, scalability, and long-term technical direction.\nLead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance developer experience and operational efficiency, including adoption of generative AI productivity tools across technology functions.\nCoordinate responses to escalated technical support issues and, where required, manage third-party software vendor and contractor relationships, contracts, statements of work, and milestones.\nTo be successful in this role, you should have:\n10 or more years of demonstrated software engineering experience, including at least 3 years leading a team directly or indirectly.\nExperience with agile development methodologies.\nExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish clear communication practices and performance expectations across teams and stakeholders.\nAbility to translate functional strategies into actionable plans and oversee initiatives that directly impact team and job-area performance.\nAbility to apply logical analysis and prior experience to resolve moderately complex challenges and improve systems and processes.\nIn-depth practical knowledge of organizational practices and policies, with experience applying new skills and tools to support team and business goals.\nAbility to work flexibly across global time zones and provide occasional Tier 3 after-hours support.\nAbility to travel minimally, approximately 1-2 weeks per quarter.\nAdditional Information\nHybrid Work from the local office 2 days a week\nPosting Close Date: 11/17/2026\nOur Commitment to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion\nAt Seequent, we champion the uniqueness of each individual.
