The role develops novel applications for subsurface modelling through experimentation and customer engagement.\nIn this role, you will have the opportunity to:\nSolve geoscience challenges using machine learning and AI technologies, including large language models. \nDevelop AI and machine learning algorithms and models using accepted best practices. \nAssess model performance and resilience, and deliver quality, user-friendly prototypes aligned with customer needs. \nIntegrate algorithms into prototypes and products and demonstrate solutions to customers. \nAcquire data from multiple sources, assess data integrity and quality, and prepare training datasets using effective cleaning strategies. \nAnalyse user challenges, workflows, and use cases to identify opportunities for innovative machine learning applications. \nStay current with relevant scientific literature and emerging developments across AI and machine learning. \nPrepare and present reports and results to peers, internal stakeholders, and users, while sharing knowledge to grow AI capabilities at Seequent. \nTo be successful in this role, you should have:\nA BSc, MSc, or PhD in machine learning, data science, a quantitative science, mathematics, computer science, or a related specialty. \n7+ years of research and development experience in machine learning, including deep learning and advanced techniques. \nExperience using large language models, LangChain, and LangGraph. \nExperience with complex orchestration of agentic solutions. \nExperience working with cloud-based data solutions and programming tools such as Python and PyTorch. \nExperience with AI models for imagery, GIS, or 3D data such as point clouds and meshes is preferred. \nCommercial software development experience and experience with modern data plotting libraries such as D3 or Plotly are preferred. \nExcellent interpersonal skills, persistence in problem solving, enthusiasm for continual learning, and the ability to research new topics and learn quickly. \nAdditional Information \nWork Mode= Hybrid\nPosting Close Date: 11/9/2026\nOur Commitment to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion\nAt Seequent, we champion the uniqueness of each individual.
