The Senior Research Scientist takes ideas from research and testing through prototyping and customer validation, with consideration for market fit.\nIn this role, you will have the opportunity to:\nDiscover, research, prototype, and validate new geomodelling algorithms and workflows. \nAdvance novel and efficient applications of algorithms, analytics, and computing to address complex geomodelling challenges. \nChampion innovation and help drive organizational best practices across multiple projects and research areas. \nApply the latest advancements in geomodelling to practical solutions and act as a technical advisor to colleagues. \nFormulate and document benchmarks and case studies, and present research to customers to gather feedback and identify improvements. \nShare knowledge and expertise through internal and external activities, including conferences and publications. \nBuild and maintain relationships with academic and industry partners, including universities and research programs. \nContribute to technical committees and working groups to influence industry standards and advance innovation in geomodelling. \nTo be successful in this role, you should have:\nA minimum of 7 years of experience in similar roles, including industry experience outside academia. \nA master's degree or equivalent with extensive domain experience, or a PhD with several years of relevant experience. \nExtensive geoscience experience in areas such as geochemistry, structural geology, prospectivity, exploration geology, mining geology, or geological modelling. \nExtensive quantitative expertise in areas such as numerical analysis, optimization, probabilistic methods, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. \nStrong planning skills and the ability to coordinate activities involving a team and multiple stakeholders. \nA strong problem-solving mentality and growth mindset. \nA business-oriented mindset with the ability to influence and contribute to product strategy. \nThe ability to collaborate effectively across Seequent and with customers, academic partners, and industry stakeholders. \nAdditional Information \nWork Mode= Hybrid\nPosting Close Date: 11/5/2026\n#LI-KV2\nOur Commitment to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion\nAt Seequent, we champion the uniqueness of each individual.
