You'll be planning and delivering real UAS missions in live environments - where weather changes, access is constrained, and the quality of your preparation and judgement directly affects outcomes.\nOur UAS operate through software-based control systems and real-time dashboards. Success depends on your ability to think clearly, plan effectively, and make good decisions when conditions change - not on your ability to build or engineer the systems.\nYou'll split your time between field deployments across the UK and planning, analysis, and preparation at our Chichester base. This is a role for people who are genuinely energised by being out on operations - not just comfortable with it.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nOperating UAS missions via software-based control systems and real-time dashboards\nPlanning and coordinating deployments, balancing weather, logistics, and operational constraints\nManaging site logistics including travel, access, accommodation, and contingencies\nMonitoring missions in real time and intervening when required\nCapturing, reviewing, and validating inspection data in the field\nAnalysing system outputs, logs, and mission performance\nActing as the link between field operations and engineering - providing structured, useful feedback\nMaintaining high safety and operational standards across all environments\nContributing to how we improve mission planning and execution as we scale\nWho This Role Is Suited To\nThis role suits people who combine proven operational experience with a disciplined, detail-oriented approach to field work.\nYou'll likely have:\nA background in a field that involves working with technical systems, equipment, or data in real-world environments - UAS operations, field survey, inspection, ROV operations, or similar\nA track record of using technical field equipment, UAS,or similar tools purposefully in an operational or professional context - not just recreationally\nA genuine appetite for field work: you're as comfortable on a wind-swept site as you are in front of a screen\nAn innate curiosity about technology\nExcellent communication skills \nWhat matters most is how you work:\nYou think systematically and plan ahead, rather than reacting on the fly\nYou exercise good judgement when conditions are uncertain\nYou take a structured, detail-oriented approach to execution\nYou're comfortable owning outcomes, not just completing tasks\nYou stay calm and focused when operating through systems, data, and real-world constraints\nFormal UAS qualifications are useful but not what we're hiring on.
