Associate Localisation Coordinator

The Role

Creative Assembly is seeking an organised and detail-oriented Associate Localisation Coordinator to join the Localisation team supporting our Total War franchise.

Working closely with SEGA's UK-based Localisation Project Managers, Localisation QA Managers, and localisation specialists, as well as internal Development Managers, Writers, Designers, and development teams, you will help coordinate the localisation process across multiple projects.

This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of high-quality localised content that enables players around the world to enjoy our games in their native language. You will play a key role in ensuring localisation content is delivered accurately, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

What you’ll be doing

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

• Coordinate localisation activities across assigned projects to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards.
• Create and maintain localisation schedules based on project milestones, content availability, and key delivery dates.
• Communicate localisation plans and timelines to all relevant stakeholders.
• Organise and facilitate localisation kick-off meetings, project review meetings, post-mortems, and other project-related discussions.
• Gather and provide project information required for localisation planning and budgeting, including word counts and voice-over requirements.
• Monitor translation progress and proactively communicate risks, delays, and potential impacts to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with teams to identify solutions and mitigate schedule risks.
• Export and prepare text files for translation, coordinate delivery to external localisation teams, and import completed translations into the game.
• Manage translator queries and ensure timely responses from relevant stakeholders.
• Provide game builds and access keys to localisation and testing teams as required.
• Work closely with Designers to implement subtitles and localised content into the game.
• Implement localisation text updates and bug fixes and support regression testing activities.
• Investigate, triage, and resolve localisation issues, escalating technical problems where necessary.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve localisation processes, workflows, and overall product quality.

What we are looking for

Essential

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Experience working within a localisation, quality assurance, or similar project coordination environment.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new tools, systems, and software.
• Good understanding of modern production workflows and processes.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive and solution-focused approach to work.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• A genuine passion for localisation and delivering exceptional player experiences.
• Interest in video games and the games industry.

Desirable

• Experience supporting localisation on shipped AAA game titles.
• Experience using JIRA and Confluence.
• Knowledge of the Total War franchise.
• Experience working in a localisation, project coordination, or localisation QA role within the games industry.
• Familiarity with localisation workflows, translation management, or localisation testing processes
