Apply today!\nPurpose of Position: To assist in the supervision of the department staff and to give direction in the preparations, repair and shipment of aircraft engine accessories following company policies, SOPs and Repair Station Manual\nEssential Functions: (must be able to perform these functions, with or without a reasonable accommodation)\nSupervises/coordinates the production of Product line WIP directly\nManages, directs, trains, and works alongside shop mechanics to ensure timely completion of product\nProperly cleans and/or paints units according to the overhaul manual; using the correct tooling equipment required and follows appropriate procedures/practices.\nResponsible for holding production meetings with the technicians, painters, and other team members as required\nManages company HAZMAT, including keeping inventory, ensuring proper disposal, and scheduling pick-ups/loading truck.\nResponsible for completing Corrective Action Reports with the applicable Lead Technician\nAccountable for ensuring that shelf life requirements are met throughout the department\nAccountable for ensuring that 6S, TPM, tool control, OJT and all other quality requirements are met throughout the department.\nAccountable for ensuring WIP is processed correctly and efficiently in the department\nAccountable for maintaining proper consumable material levels\nAccountable for ensuring all shop deadlines are met\nAccountable for ensuring monthly revenue numbers are met\nTrains, coaches and develops employees as necessary to ensure production goals are met and proper procedures and policies are followed.\nTimely completes, approves and adjusts time and attendance/labor reporting as required\nAssists Manager in completing employee reviews and documenting work performance\nEnsures diligent use of the production software system\nPerforms maintenance on aircraft and engine accessories following company policies, SOPs and Repair Station Manual.\nFills in for and performs all duties of Shop employees as necessary\nMaintains and supports cost control efforts for labor and material to support facility/department financial goals\nTravels as required, typically up to 20% annually. \nConfers with manager to recommend changes such as: equipment utilization, production methods and procedures to increase efficiency of department and promote improvement\nAttends all safety and health training, as required, in a timely manner\nWorks when scheduled and complies with company attendance policy\nObserves and practices all safety procedures and PPE requirements (e.g. safety glasses, ear plugs, face shields etc.) and ensures others comply with safety requirements.\nResponsible for ordering materials, consumables, tooling and other assets required in the Department\nWorks overtime as needed\nOther duties as assigned\nSkills, Knowledge and Abilities: (these are required to enable job holder to perform the essential functions of the job)\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills \nAbility to travel up to 20% annually both domestically and internationally to support the business needs\nMust be able to speak effectively before groups of customers and or employees \nMust be able to work cooperatively with other leaders, co-workers, customers, and others and maintain effective working relationships. \nMust be able to obtain HAZMAT certification.\nMust be self-directed and action-oriented with the ability to work with minimal or no direct supervision \nDemonstrated time, priority, and stress management skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment \nExcellent analytical skills and the ability to use applied knowledge to formulate positive solutions to problem situations.\nMust provide and maintain personal toolbox in accordance with Segers’ Tool Control Plan\nProficient in using a variety of hand tools, special tools, and GSE required to perform assigned maintenance tasks.\nMust be able to read and interpret SDS and Technical Data Sheets to safely mix paints in accordance with specifications.\nMust be able to use scales for mixing ratios\nMust be able to apply common sense\nMust be able to effectively read, write, speak and understand English language\nProficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel and the ability to learn other company specific software \nMust be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide, using fractions and decimals; compute percentages, ratios, rates and interpret graphs. \nMust be able to comply with OSHA requirements and standards to properly wear all applicable PPE as required \nMust be able to see within normal range of vision with or without corrective lenses\nMust be able to hear running machinery\nMust be able to use hands, wrists, and fingers repetitively\nMust have exceptional eye-hand coordination\nMust be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly and more, with assistance occasionally\nMust regularly be able to reach overhead\nMust regularly be able to squat, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, and stand\nMust be able to walk around regularly using steps occasionally\nMust be able to see within normal range of vision with or without corrective lenses\nMust be able to hear running machinery\nMust be able to use hands, wrists, and fingers repetitively\nMust have exceptional eye-hand coordination\nAbility to provide verifications of US citizenship or permanent residency to satisfy ITAR/EAR restrictions \n\nMarginal Functions: (Duties that are likely to be assigned to this person, unless he/she proves unable to perform them after receiving training and/or accommodations that the company judges appropriate)\nOther duties as assigned\nExperience and Education Requirements: \nAt least 18 years of age or older and a High School Diploma or GED required \nThree years experience working in aviation, mechanical, industrial, or maintenance industry required. \nAt least one year of supervisory/leadership experience required. Supervisor/leadership experience working maintenance in an MRO preferred.\nPosition is considered safety sensitive in accordance with DOT and FAA regulations.
