Our core values-Leadership, Teamwork, Innovation, Professionalism and Gratitude-guide how we work together.\nThe Role\nReporting to the General Manager, you’ll oversee day-to-day accounting processes while remaining hands-on with bookkeeping, project accounting, payroll support and office administration. You’ll be the primary internal resource for accounting matters, helping ensure accurate records, reliable reporting and timely completion of work.\nYour responsibilities will include:\nOversee accounts payable and receivable, reviewing transactions, coding and supporting documentation for accuracy.\nMaintain the general ledger, prepare journal entries and reconcile bank, credit card and vendor accounts.\nCoordinate month-end close, financial reporting and year-end support for our external accountants.\nSupport job costing, progress billing, holdbacks, subcontractor documentation and project financial close-outs.\nSupport the Payroll Administrator with reconciliations, discrepancy resolution and year-end summaries.\nMaintain accounting procedures and internal controls, guide employees and identify opportunities to improve processes.\nManage company permits, licences, qualifications and regulatory reporting, including MTO, CVOR, MNR and TOARC requirements.\nCoordinate weigh-scale administration and training, operational reporting and related recordkeeping.\nCoordinate IT providers, cleaning services, office supplies and general office support.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nAt least five years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience, including month-end close, reconciliations and general ledger work.\nA diploma in accounting or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
