The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CFD and thermal simulation tools and will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing thermal performance of automotive systems and components.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform automotive underhood thermal analysis to evaluate temperature distribution, heat transfer, and thermal performance of vehicle systems and components.\nConduct Conjugate Heat Transfer (CHT) simulations involving coupled fluid flow and solid heat transfer.\nDevelop and execute 3D CFD simulations for underhood airflow, heat transfer, thermal management, and related automotive applications.\nPrepare and clean CFD models using ANSA, including geometry cleanup, defeaturing, meshing, and model setup.\nPerform CFD simulations using STAR-CCM+ for airflow, heat transfer, and thermal analysis.\nUse TAITherm for thermal modeling, thermal management, and temperature prediction of automotive components and systems.\nUtilize AMESIM for 1D system-level simulation and analysis of thermal/fluid systems.\nAnalyze simulation results, identify critical thermal issues, and provide engineering recommendations for improving system and component performance.\nCorrelate simulation results with test/experimental data and support model validation and optimization activities.\nPerform sensitivity studies and design optimization based on thermal and CFD simulation results.\nPrepare technical reports, simulation documentation, and presentations summarizing methodology, results, and engineering recommendations.\nCollaborate with design, testing, and other cross-functional engineering teams to resolve thermal and fluid-flow related issues.\nRequired Skills & Experience\nStrong understanding of CFD fundamentals, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics.\nHands-on experience in automotive thermal management and underhood thermal analysis.\nGood understanding of Conjugate Heat Transfer (CHT) and coupled fluid-solid thermal analysis.\nHands-on experience with STAR-CCM+.\nExperience with ANSA for geometry preparation and CFD meshing.\nExperience with TAITherm for thermal analysis.\nWorking knowledge of AMESIM for 1D system simulation.\nExperience in interpreting CFD/thermal simulation results and providing design recommendations.\nGood analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work effectively with cross-functional engineering and simulation teams.\nGood communication and technical documentation
