This role focuses on supplier process quality, APQP/PPAP execution, plant build support, proactive failure prevention (DFMEA/PFMEA), and reactive root-cause problem solving for field warranty and plant concerns.\nKey Responsibilities\nQuality Planning & APQP\nAdvanced Quality Planning: Lead or support APQP activities for chassis commodities from initial sourcing through tooling and Start of Production (SOP).\n\nDocumentation & Controls: Review and sign off on technical specifications, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, and PFMEAs with Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers.\n\nPPAP Management: Manage and execute the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), verifying dimensional reports, material sign-offs, line error-proofing, tooling, and fixtures.\n\nSupplier Quality Management & Audits\nSupplier Audits: Conduct supplier process audits, tool and fixture reviews, and production line readiness evaluations.\n\nManufacturing Capabilities: Evaluate supplier technical capabilities and process controls across casting, forging, stamping, machining, injection molding, and welding.\n\nPerformance Tracking: Monitor supplier performance metrics (PPM, launch KPIs, C-DPV) and drive continuous conformance initiatives.\n\nPlant Build & Launch Support\nLaunch Support: Support engineering test and production vehicle builds at assembly plants.\n\nIssue Resolution: Resolve chassis assembly fitment, torque, alignment, and packaging issues during prototype and pre-series launch phases.\n\nContainment Plans: Implement clean points and containment plans for early production defects to prevent reoccurrence.\n\nProblem Solving & Warranty Reduction\nRoot-Cause Analysis: Lead root-cause analysis using structured methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5-Why, Shainin, DFSS/Red-X) for component, assembly, and field warranty failures.\n\nCorrective Actions: Manage issue tracking systems and drive Permanent Corrective Actions (PCA) with cross-functional design, testing, and manufacturing
