The Facilities Engineer supports facility engineering and day-to-day operations across multiple key sites (CTC, DOW, and FREC). Working closely with the Facilities Manager, Product Development teams, skilled trades, contractors, and internal partners, this role helps maintain safe, reliable, and efficient facilities while supporting changing business and space requirements.
This position offers a dynamic blend of facility operations, maintenance coordination, space planning, technical documentation, and hands-on project support.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations & Maintenance: Support daily facility operations across multiple sites, coordinating priorities with the Facilities Manager. Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities, including work orders, schedules, vendor management, documentation, and follow-up.
Engineering & Infrastructure Support: Support facility engineering activities involving building infrastructure, utilities, equipment, and specialized test/laboratory spaces.
Space Planning & Optimization: Develop and maintain space plans that align with Product Development requirements, including floor layouts, occupancy planning, space optimization, and facility modifications.
CAD & Technical Documentation: Create, update, and maintain AutoCAD drawings according to AIA standards, ensuring accurate as-built documentation and organized drawing files.
Project Execution & Capital Support: Support facility projects from concept through completion-conducting field assessments, scope development, technical reviews, cost/schedule coordination, contractor management, and project closeout. Assist with capital planning and project prioritization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal departments, suppliers, engineering firms, contractors, and skilled trades to resolve issues and execute planned work effectively.
Safety & Continuous Improvement: Drive and support initiatives focused on facility safety, reliability, regulatory compliance, and continuous operational improvement.
