This team supports pioneering electrification developments in support of our clients’ high-profile range of exciting electric vehicles. You will be at the fore front of developing new, technologically advanced, electric propulsion systems.\nThe Electrical Drive Unit (EDU) assembly team is responsible for the development and introduction of industry leading processes and facilities incorporating state of the art manufacturing technologies. The successful applicant will be working closely with Product Development Engineers and suppliers to ensure that EDU system designs meet world class quality and efficiency standards.\nThe role offers the exciting opportunity of periodic European & Overseas travel to work alongside technology leading suppliers.\nThis role offers an opportunity to be part of a dynamic, inclusive and collaborative team with the benefit of significant scope for personal and professional development.\nKey Performance Indicators\nDelivery of robust assembly processes and equipment to safety, quality and cost expectations\nAdherence to all client systems and processes for new product introduction\nSupport Product Creation and Delivery Systems (PCDS) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) to ensure gateway adherence.\nZero defect launch\nZero accident installation.\nZero Ergonomic Red issues at launch.\nKey Accountabilities and Responsibilities\nYou will utilise your knowledge to develop and implement assembly processes and facilities to deliver the safety, quality delivery and cost objectives\nDetailed planning, development and implementation of installation timing plans with key suppliers\nEnsure robust process planning including build simulations and PFMEA’s.\nSupport assembly process strategy for manufacturing.\nFeasibility of design to suit modern assembly and test requirements\nAssembly process & equipment verification at suppliers and at manufacturing facility\nSupport management activities through development and monitoring of timing plans\nSupport new model planning through development of process estimates against study requests\nManage technical issues and escalate where appropriate.\nAchieve equipment capability and availability targets.\nSupport the resolution of technical issues where appropriate.\nPlanning, developing and implementation of all written Processes for manufacturing.\nPlanning, developing and implementation of all tooling, jigs and fixtures for manufacturing.\nUndertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested from time to
