works \nIdentifying project requirements and preparing the project plan (scope and work breakdown, construction materials and recommended suppliers) and design (systems and products)\nReviewing design specifications, blueprints and other technical drawings; researching suitable solutions, making models and prototypes of products\nReviewing civil engineering drawings and related documents submitted by consultants, contractors or the like, relating to all project execution, renovation work in various phases\nLiaising with the consultants and contractors, then participating with the approval of correct drawings\nReviewing design specifications, blueprints and other technical drawings\nInvestigating sites to work out the most suitable foundation for a proposed construction\nResearching and advising on the best engineering solution to meet with facility needs and budget\nProducing detailed designs and documentation for the construction and implementation of civil engineering projects\nPreparing engineering calculations required for the design of projects and supervising the drafting\nManaging and monitoring day to day activities of the department \nAttending meetings with the requesting facility/ outsourced firms and keeping all informed of progress\nEnsuring that the progress of work in relation with the work programme and report to the Senior Engineer\nPlanning and preparing estimation costs for new projects being executing as per the instruction of Senior Engineer\nProviding technical support, advice and information to the Senior Engineer for the day to day management and coordination of all civil works\nEnsuring that all works are carried out in accordance with the contract drawings, specifications, instructions and programmes\nPlanning, arranging and controlling of material compliance testing/ evaluation and maintain records\nOrganizing the delivery of materials, plant and equipment needed for the construction project and supervising labour\nAnalysing and interpreting reports on loading, labour, productivity, quality, materials and performance\nCommunicating and coordinating to the department \nCommunicating and consulting with other healthcare disciplines\nAttending interdisciplinary meetings to provide technical support and advice\nParticipating in joint meetings with members of the Health Authority Engineering Directorate\nParticipating in the development, communication and evaluation of standards, procedures and protocols\nLiaising and co-ordinating with consultants and contractors, as required, at each site in order to discuss any issues or problems and to supervise the work carried out\nAttending and participating in various committee meetings\nMeeting regularly with other engineers within the facility to co-ordinate duties and exchange information\nMeeting with contractors and consultants on a weekly basis in order to discuss progress\nMaintaining document control for the department \nPreparing project status reports, as necessary\nManaging and maintaining document control systems for construction and maintenance information\nCommunicating and consulting with other healthcare disciplines\nReporting to the Senior Engineer all mechanical works\nCoordinating with contractors \nEnsuring that all works are carried out in accordance with the contract specification, drawings, instructions and programmers\nAttending meetings with contractors and resolving conflicts between design and user requirements\nIdentifying matters related to faulty construction and ensuring that appropriate rectification is carried out\nChecking all drawings produced by contractors for accuracy and keeping the relevant records updated\nProviding all quality checks concerning the project \nConducting various performance and tolerance tests of new assets (building infrastructure and equipment components, products and systems within the infrastructure) based on test criteria as established by SEHA policies and procedures \nPlanning, arranging and recording inspection and test activities for materials and workmanship\nCarrying out testing of materials, processes or systems related to civil engineering works\nEnsuring the contractors compliance with the set technical specifications and carries out certain checks, such as reviewing the list of materials to be used for each project to ensure that all comply with requirements\nUsing the bill of quantity to ensure that the correct materials are used in the correct quantity etc.\nCarrying out physical inspections of sites in order to check that the works are as required and in compliance with the set contractual conditions and specifications\nAnalyzing risks associated with natural disasters including wind, earthquake, fire and floods, design structures and services to meet appropriate standards\nContributing to team effort \nParticipating in cross-functional teams and committees as appropriate\nDeveloping and enhancing team procedure manual and processes and discussed with seniors\nManaging his/her subordinates and ensuring team development and complaint resolution, setting KPI’s for direct reports and conducting performance appraisal and driving motivation levels of direct reports\n Qualification :-\nSpecial Certificate:-\nRequired: \n2-4 years of relevant experience in a similar industry\nDesired: \nExperience in a large healthcare
