SEI

SEI is a financial technology and investment management company that provides platforms, outsourced operations and asset management to the wealth and investment industry. It offers managed portfolios, fund administration, wealth platforms for banks and advisors, and investment programs for institutions and family offices. The company was founded in 1968 by Al West, is headquartered in Oaks, Pennsylvania, and is publicly traded on the Nasdaq.

The Investment Product Development and Commercialization team is a newly established group within SEI’s Asset Management organization, focused on designing innovative investment solutions that enhance client outcomes and expand access to new markets. The team operates across two core pillars-Investment Product & Platform and Investment Product Commercialization-and partners closely with Investments, Technology, Marketing, and Sales to drive strategic growth.

The Associate role sits within the Investment Product Development pillar and supports SEI’s public and private markets product businesses. The role spans the full breadth of SEI’s product set-mutual funds, ETFs, collective investment trusts, and registered alternatives such as interval and tender-offer funds developed in partnership with leading global asset managers. In this role you will help take products from concept through regulatory approval, operational readiness, and commercial launch, and then support them as they scale.

This position offers broad exposure to every functional area involved in the product lifecycle-investments, legal, compliance, operations, distribution, and marketing. It is well suited to someone who wants to build deep, durable expertise across both public and private market investment vehicles and grow quickly within the investment product space.

This position reports to a Senior Director on the Investment Product team.

What You Will Do:

  • Support the end-to-end development and launch of new investment products across public and private markets, including business case development, structure and vehicle selection, and go-to-market readiness

  • Maintain project plans and launch timelines, track milestones and deliverables, and proactively surface risks, dependencies, and decisions that require escalation

  • Partner with legal, compliance, operations, finance, and distribution teams to advance registration statements, fund documents, operational build-out, and platform onboarding

  • Coordinate cross-functional workstreams and meetings-setting agendas, capturing decisions, and driving follow-ups so deliverables stay on schedule

  • Conduct competitive and market research-fee structures, liquidity terms, product structures, and flows-and translate findings into clear recommendations that inform product strategy and positioning

  • Prepare product overviews, talking points, comparison analyses, and launch updates for use across the team and broader organization

  • Support commercialization efforts alongside Investment Product Specialists, Marketing and Sales, including product collateral review, RFP and due diligence questionnaire responses, and field enablement

  • Contribute to the ongoing management of existing products, including performance and asset monitoring, lifecycle enhancements, and periodic reporting

What We Need from You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field (advanced degree, CFA, or progress toward designation is a plus)

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in investment product, asset management, fund operations, consulting, or a related financial services role

  • Working knowledge of investment products and vehicles

  • Familiarity with the regulatory and operational environment for registered products, including fund governance, distribution, and service provider models

  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex topics into clear, decision-ready materials

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and project management skills, with demonstrated proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

What We Would Like From You:

  • Intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in how investment products are built, distributed, and differentiated in the market

  • Ownership mentality-you take initiative, follow through without being asked, and hold cross-functional partners accountable to timelines

  • A solution-oriented mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and solve problems collaboratively

  • Comfort managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where the product set is expanding rapidly

  • Ability to use data and sound judgment to support strategic decision-making

  • A collaborative, professional approach and the ability to build strong working relationships across functions

SEI’s competitive advantage:

To help you stay energized, engaged and inspired, we offer a wide range of benefits including comprehensive care for your physical and mental well-being, a strong retirement plan, tuition reimbursement, support for working parents and flexible Paid Time Off (PTO) so you can relax, recharge and be there for the people you care about.
