This position requires a strong foundation in software development, combined with deep experience in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes platforms, and automation at scale.\nYou will build and evolve internal platforms, tooling, and automation frameworks that enable our SRE, DevOps, and application teams to operate efficiently at scale across cloud and hybrid environments.\nYou should be adaptable, possess a wide range of technical skills, and demonstrate the ability to understand financial services business requirements while delivering production-quality software and platform capabilities.\nWhat you will do:\nDesign and build SEI’s next generation of Infrastructure and Platform systems as software products on the public cloud and Kubernetes ecosystems\nBuild and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks (Terraform, Ansible) as versioned, reusable software systems\nProduce high-quality, maintainable code (Python, Go, etc.) to implement platform services, APIs, and automation\nAnalyze and resolve issues found during the testing or pre-production phases of the software delivery lifecycle; coordinating changes with project team leaders and cross-work team members\nDesign abstraction layers that simplify infrastructure consumption for engineering teams\nInteract with data architects, other tech leads, team members and project manager as required addressing technical and scheduling issues.\nSuggest and implement process improvements for managing all lifecycles of cloud infrastructure at scale\nResponsible for insuring team designs and delivers code in alignment with published SEI & industry standards.\nProvide technical problem resolution and application support, as required\nWhat we need from you:\nBA/BS, in a related technical field; or the equivalent in education and work experience\nA minimum of 5 years of prior work experience with a combination of Linux Systems Administration, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Software Engineering or related work.\nBackground with at least one cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI)\nStrong experience in at least one programming language (Python, Go, Java, etc.)\nKnowledge of Linux Systems such as RHEL, Oracle Linux, Ubuntu, etc\nDemonstrable experience with Infrastructure as code using Terraform, Ansible, and similar tooling\nExperience working with Kubernetes-based platforms and cloud-native systems\nAbility to create system architecture diagrams and communicate technical concepts clearly\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills\nWhat we would like from you:\nExcellent communication skills\nStrong system/ technical analysis skills\nSelf-motivation with an ability to prioritize multiple tasks\nAbility to develop a strong internal network across the platform\nExcellent collaboration, communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills\nAbility to think creatively and seek optimum solutions\nAbility to grasp loosely defined concepts and transform them into tangible results and key deliverables\nVery strong problem-solving skills\nDiagnostic skills with the ability to analyze technical, business and financial issues and options\nAbility to infer from previous examples, willingness to understand how an application is put together\nAction-oriented, with the ability to quickly deal with change\nSomeone who will embody our SEI Values of courage, integrity, collaboration, inclusion, connection and fun.
