This role bridges data engineering and business intelligence, requiring strong expertise in Python, SQL, and modern data platforms along with hands-on experience in data modeling, visualization, and performance optimization in Power BI. You will own the data lifecycle from ingestion to visualization (pipeline → semantic model → dashboard).\nWhat you will do:\nDesign and build scalable data pipelines using Python and SQL across Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and OCI environments.\nDevelop and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using orchestration tools such as Airflow or OCI Data Integration.\nBuild and maintain Power BI dashboards, semantic models, and datasets using DAX, Power Query, and data modeling best practices.\nCollaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into data models, KPIs, and visualizations.\nImplement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and automate deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.\nEnsure data quality, governance, and security (RLS, access control, auditing, compliance).\nOptimize performance across pipelines and dashboards, including query tuning and refresh strategies.\nMonitor pipeline health and automate operational processes using Python scripting and Unix tools.\nSupport cloud and on-prem data environments, including migrations and scaling strategies.\nWhat we need from you:\n8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or BI development.\nStrong hands-on experience with Python and SQL for building data pipelines.\nStrong experience with Power BI (data modeling, DAX, performance tuning, RLS).\nExperience with databases: Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL.\nExperience with ETL/ELT tools and orchestration frameworks (Airflow preferred).\nExperience with DevOps tools: GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes.\nKnowledge of data warehousing concepts (star schema, dimensional modeling).\nExperience with cloud platforms (OCI preferred, AWS/Azure is a plus).\nStrong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance.\nAdditional knowledge and/or experience desired:\nExperience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).\nExperience with real-time/streaming pipelines (Kafka).\nKnowledge of financial/wealth management domain.\nRelevant certifications (OCI, Azure, Power BI, Data Engineering).\nSEI’s competitive advantage\nTo help you stay energized, engaged and inspired, we offer a wide range of benefits including comprehensive care for your physical and mental well-being, hybrid working environment and a work-life balance that enables you to relax, recharge and be there for the people you care about.\nOur benefits include Medical Insurance, Term Life Insurance, Voluntary Provident Fund, 10 Predefined Holidays and 2 Floating Holidays in a year, Paid Time off and more.\nWe are a technology and asset management company delivering on our promise of building brave futures-for our clients, our communities, and ourselves.
