As a mission-driven company, Seismic combines the operational rigor of international consulting firms with the agility of a tech startup, ensuring quality, compliance, and client satisfaction across all engagements.\n\nWe are recruiting to fill the position below:\n\nJob Title: Senior Project Manager\n\nLocation: Maitama, Abuja (FCT)\n\nEmployment Type: Full-time\n\nAbout The Role\n\nAs we continue to grow and take on new opportunities, we’re looking for a Project Manager to join our team and be part of our next stage of growth.\nPrevious hands-on experience managing projects funded by GIZ, the British Council, the World Bank or comparable international development partners will be a key consideration in the selection process.\nIt’s about taking ownership, solving problems, collaborating across teams, and continuously looking for better ways to do things.\nThe Project Manager owns the on-time, on-budget and on-quality delivery of one or more donor-funded projects, leading multi-disciplinary teams of consultants and technical experts, to ensure every deliverable meets acceptable standards and contract terms.\nThe ideal candidate should also possess strong experience in project planning, financial oversight, risk management, monitoring and evaluation, technical reporting, stakeholder engagement and donor compliance, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results within demanding project environments.\nThe ideal candidate must demonstrate a strong understanding of donor-funded project management frameworks, including theirimplementation methodologies, reporting standards,programme delivery, compliance requirements, procurement and reporting procedures.\nWe’re looking for someone who can lead with confidence, think beyond the day-to-day tasks, connect the bigger picture, and bring people together to turn plans into results.For us, it’s not just about managing projects.\n\nKey Roles and Responsibilities\n\nProject delivery and planning:\n\nDevelop detailed work plans, schedules, resource plans and risk registers, and update them as conditions change.\nRun project start-up, including inception reports, kick-off meetings and mobilisation of teams.\nLead end-to-end delivery of assigned projects against the terms of reference, contract, work plan and budget.\nTrack milestones, deliverables and expenditure; flag risks, delays and scope changes early and propose solutions.\n\nClient and stakeholder management:\n\nServe as the main day-to-day contact for task teams, development agencies, government counterparts and other stakeholders.\nPrepare and present progress reports, briefings and deliverables that meet donor quality and formatting standards.\nCoordinate with beneficiaries, implementing partners and local authorities, including during field missions.\n\nTeam and technical leadership:\n\nCoordinate subcontractors and joint-venture partners, and manage their performance and deliverables.\nLead and motivate multi-disciplinary teams of staff, sector specialists and short-term consultants across several sectors.\nAssign tasks, set quality standards and review technical outputs before submission to the client.\n\nFinancial and contract management:\n\nManage contract variations, amendments and close-out documentation.\nEnsure compliance with World Bank procurement, fiduciary, safeguards and reporting requirements.\nManage project budgets, forecasts, invoicing and cost control in line with contract terms and donor frameworks.\n\nQuality, monitoring and learning:\n\nMaintain quality assurance processes and document lessons learned for use across Seismic projects.\nApply monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track results and report on outcomes, not only outputs.\n\nBusiness development support:\n\nContribute to expressions of interest, technical and financial proposals, and bid strategy for new development-sector opportunities.\nSupport client relationship growth and help build Seismic's reputation for delivery.\n\nQualifications and Experience\n\nRequired:\n\n5–10 years of project management experience, including at least [4] years leading donor-funded projects.\nProven record of managing budgets, schedules, risks and multi-disciplinary teams across more than one sector.\nBachelor's Degree in Project Management, Development Studies, Public Policy, Economics, Engineering, Social Sciences or a related field;
