The company has a growing preclinical stage best-in-class and first-in-class biologics pipeline, derived from its integrated IMPACT platform, to control dysregulated adaptive immunity and address multiple autoimmune diseases. The company is backed by a strong syndicate of life science investors and is located in the Boston area biotechnology hub. For more information, please visit www.seismictx.com and follow us on LinkedIn and on X @Seismic_Tx.\nAt our core, we are focused on phenomenal science, supportive culture, a superstar team, meritocracy, and patient-centric goals. Seismic has the tools, skills, ideas and people to make this a reality. Success will be the discovery and development of effective therapies for patients in need, and we invite you to become a part of that. This is a terrific opportunity for a talented bench scientist to develop the assays that show how our medicines work, from the laboratory into the clinic, and join our small, dynamic and high-performing team.\nJob Summary\nSeismic is seeking a bench scientist to develop and optimize the assays that support our research-stage and clinical-stage immunology programs. You will develop pharmacokinetic (PK), anti-drug antibody (ADA), target engagement, and pharmacodynamic (PD) assays for Seismic's biologics in human, non-human primate (NHP), and mouse samples, using ligand binding and flow cytometry platforms.\nYour assays will inform decisions from candidate selection through IND-enabling studies and into the clinic. You will work closely with scientists in research and with the clinical team to make sure each assay answers the right question, and with the Translational Sciences group to prepare assays for transfer to our CRO partners. This is a hands-on, laboratory-based role in a small team, where your work will move quickly from the bench to the clinic.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and optimize ligand binding assays, such as ELISA and electrochemiluminescence (MSD) formats, or Mass Spec-based PK assays to measure drug concentrations or anti-drug antibodies in human, NHP, and mouse matrices.\nDevelop and optimize flow cytometry assays for target engagement, receptor occupancy, and pharmacodynamic readouts, including immunophenotyping of relevant immune cell populations.\nQualify assays to a fit-for-purpose standard, including sensitivity, specificity, precision, and drug tolerance where applicable, and identify and characterize the critical reagents each assay depends on.\nAnalyze samples from discovery and IND-enabling studies and interpret and present results to project teams.\nPrepare assay transfer packages, including methods, critical reagents, and qualification data, and serve as the technical point of contact for CRO scientists during assay transfer and troubleshooting.\nMaintain thorough, contemporaneous records in an electronic laboratory notebook, and write methods, SOPs, and technical reports consistent with Seismic's quality standards.\nEvaluate new assay technologies and approaches that could improve sensitivity, throughput, or the biological questions Seismic can answer.\nRequired Qualifications\nPhD in immunology, biochemistry, or a related discipline, with at least 3 years of experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry or at a CRO.\nStrong hands-on experience developing and optimizing ligand binding assays for biologics, such as PK and ADA assays on ELISA or MSD platforms.\nStrong hands-on experience developing and optimizing multicolor flow cytometry assays, including panel design and data analysis.\nExperience working with samples from more than one species, such as human, NHP, or mouse.\nGood documentation skills, with careful attention to detail and data integrity.\nAbility to work well as part of a small team, manage several projects at once, and communicate results clearly to scientific and clinical colleagues.\nPreferred Experience\nExperience developing target engagement or receptor occupancy assays for biologics.\nFamiliarity with regulatory expectations for bioanalytical method validation and immunogenicity testing, and experience transferring assays to a CRO.\nBackground in immunology, allergy, autoimmune, or inflammatory disease research.\nExperience working in a lean environment.\nCompetencies\nScientific rigor and integrity, with sound judgment about whether an assay is fit for its intended purpose.\nPersistent, hands-on problem solving when assays do not perform as expected.\nCollaboration and clear communication within a small team and across Research and Clinical Development.\nPatient focus, connecting the quality of each assay to the decisions it informs and the potential impact of Seismic's medicines for patients.\nOther\nThis role is based in Watertown, Massachusetts, and is laboratory-based, with in-office expectations consistent with Seismic's company policies and business needs.\nLimited travel for CRO visits and scientific meetings, as needed.\nThe annual base salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $150,000.00. Salary is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, qualifications, education and internal benchmarks.\nSeismic Therapeutic is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applicants of every background and make employment decisions without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, age, disability, veteran status, pregnancy, genetic information, or any other status protected by federal, state, or local law. If you need an accommodation during the application or interview process, please let us know.","description_format":"text","description_chars":5838,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":3,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"phd","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Biotechnology","Health Care"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-30T00:22:07Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"US","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"green card filings: 1","filings_12m":0,"filings_prev_12m":3,"green_card_filings_12m":1,"median_offered_wage_usd":72500,"route":null,"cap_exempt":false,"checked_at":"2026-10-29T16:27:21+00:00","sources":["US Department of Labor: LCA disclosure data (H-1B, H-1B1, E-3)","US Department of Labor: PERM disclosure data (green cards)"],"filings_for_role_12m":0}],"liveness":{"score":86,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.86,"p_room":1,"age_days":2,"expected_fill_days":25,"reasons":["conf:1","win:early"],"computed_at":"2026-11-01T06:10:25Z"},"pay":{"stated_usd_annual":150000,"is_top_pay":true},"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/seismic-tx-scientist-biomarker-and-translational-sciences","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/seismic-tx-scientist-biomarker-and-translational-sciences.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-11-01T23:15:27Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":35437,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-11-02T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":1936359},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=1936359"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fseismic-tx-scientist-biomarker-and-translational-sciences"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fseismic-tx-scientist-biomarker-and-translational-sciences"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fseismic-tx-scientist-biomarker-and-translational-sciences"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/seismic-tx-scientist-biomarker-and-translational-sciences\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fseismic-tx-scientist-biomarker-and-translational-sciences"}],"agent":{"mcp":"https://alion.io/mcp/jobs","mcp_open":"https://alion.io/mcp/open","next":[{"tool":"get_job","arguments":{"id":3492830}},{"tool":"search_jobs","arguments":{"company":"seismictx.com","detail":"compact"}},{"tool":"match_people","arguments":{"job_id":3492830},"note":"people open to offers who fit this vacancy"}],"note":"The same data through MCP tools: https://alion.io/mcp/open needs no sign-in (compact searches, postings, people); https://alion.io/mcp with an Alion account has everything.
