We fight for Unions for All and a Government that Works for All so that all of us, across race and place, can have power together in unions and participate fully in our democracy.\nPURPOSE: The Senior Program Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the Organizing Hub in ensuring the smooth operations for campaign execution. They are responsible for driving the implementation of the department’s goals, plans, and strategies. Additionally, they oversee the development and maintenance of systems and structures to enhance department-wide communication, monitor progress, and address needs from the National Organizing Director and across the Organizing Hub. The Senior Program Manager also takes an active role in the planning and execution of department-led meetings, campaign events and initiatives.\nPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Any one position may not include all of the specific duties and responsibilities listed. Examples provide a general summary of the work required and should not be treated as a total and complete list of expected duties to be performed by employees in the classification.\nCollaborate closely with the Director of Organizing Governance and Hub Management to efficiently manage, assess, and distribute high-priority action items throughout the Organizing Hub.\nEstablish robust systems, structures, and tools to support campaigns and n department-wide initiatives, ensuring seamless follow-through.\nSupervise staff to ensure proper execution of campaign operations, logistics and program management.\nWork in conjunction with the Directors and Deputy Directors to facilitate internal communications, compile reports, administer contracts, track budgets and provide updates across the Organizing Hub for diverse audiences within the union.\nExercise a high degree of judgment and discretion while collaborating with leaders and staff throughout the Organizing Hub, as well as interfacing with other Hubs, program departments, and the Executive office.\nParticipate actively and assist with logistical support for Organizing Hub meetings, special projects, and campaigns as required.\nEnsure that supervised staff complete internal administrative reports and actively participate in departmental initiatives.\nDIRECTION & DECISION MAKING: This position reports to the Director of Organizing Governance and Hub Management and works independently.\nQUALIFICATIONS & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:\nPossess a minimum of five (5) years of experience in political and/or labor organizing work. \nPast experience supervising and developing staff. \nDemonstrated ability to effectively manage time, develop and execute plans with minimal supervision. \nProven track record of strategic thinking, analysis, and proactive decision-making for successful outcomes. \nStrong organizational skills to efficiently manage and prioritize work under deadlines in a dynamic and evolving environment, both individually and as part of a team. \nAbility to work independently, think creatively, manage time effectively, and take initiative. \nMaintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive issues related to staff and organization. \nAbility to cultivate trusted and productive working relationships with staff and leaders. \nExceptional writing and communication skills. \nDemonstrated aptitude for organization, attention to detail, and adaptability in problem-solving within a fast-paced work environment. \nProficiency in G Suite programs. Familiarity with Quickbase, or similar platforms is a plus. \nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nWork is generally performed in an office setting, but may be required to work in other settings conducive to performing the work required to complete the assignment, such as field assignments.
