Cleans and checks assigned areas by washing furnishings, floors, and equipment with special cleaning solutions and disinfectants to prevent the spread of disease. b. Keeps floors clean and safe by dust mopping and wet mopping as necessary.c. Cleans spills in patient and non patient areas as necessary.d. Cleans and polishes all metal; washes walls and beds as necessary.e. Scours, sanitizes, and polishes tubs, sinks, mirrors, toilets, urinals and similar equipment; replenishes supplies of soap, towels and other disposable items.\nUnder the direction of the Environmental Services Manager, plans and directs the work of all Environmental Services Techs. a. Checks completion of work in order to ensure the hospital is in a clean and sanitary condition.b. Instructs new employees in job routine and expectations.c. Maintains necessary records and reports as to quantity, quality and timeliness of work done in the department.\nControls and audits laundry and linens to ensure that there is an adequate supply.\nKeeps informed on developments and trends inside and outside the organization with relate to assigned functions.\nMaintains current code and regularly compliance documentation related to the Regulated Medical Waste storage handling and disposal.\nProvides supervision of employees ensuring that job duties and functions are performed to departmental and industry standards.
