As the AML Manager, you will join our Compliance team, working closely with our bank partners to support the day-to-day operations of our AML and sanctions program, with an emphasis on Self’s Money Laundering/Terrorism Financing (ML/TF) transaction monitoring, KYC, and sanctions investigations.\nLocation: Remote, with a preference for candidates based in Austin, TX.\nWhat You Will Do\nAssist in developing, enhancing, and managing Self’s AML and sanctions program, and ensuring that it aligns with Self’s risk profile.\nPerform AML investigations, independently owning transaction monitoring alerts, high-risk customer reviews, and OFAC SDN hits.\nServe as the primary AML/sanctions point of contact for Self’s bank partners, working closely with them on program updates, escalations, and investigation outcomes.\nPrepare and deliver unusual activity reports (UARs) to Self’s bank partners to support their preparation and filing of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).\nAnalyze and synthesize important trends and escalate as appropriate.\nDevelop and report key performance indicators to key stakeholders, including management and Self’s Board of Directors.\nDraft and revise policies and procedures to improve the AML program’s efficiency.\nMaintain a strong industry knowledge of applicable trends, typologies, and risks related to suspicious activity monitoring.\nPromote organizational culture and work to improve the overall health of the organization through collaboration and values alignment.\nWhat You Bring\nPreferred 5+ years of relevant experience in AML/CFT and sanctions, including experience independently managing a full AML investigations caseload, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience. \nPreferred 3+ years experience developing, implementing, and running a ML/TF monitoring program (to include suspicious activity monitoring and high-risk customer reviews).\n1+ year of experience analyzing OFAC SDN alerts.\nCAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) or CFCS (Certified Financial Crime Specialist) certification preferred.\nDeep understanding of ML/TF typologies and risks, as well as the ability to maintain knowledge of current typology trends.\nExperience utilizing AI and automation to assist in AML investigations.\nExperience developing and delivering training to team members, including training for quality assurance purposes.\nExtensive experience writing and developing AML and sanctions policies & procedures, as well as risk assessments.\nProven experience working collaboratively and effectively with the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders, including internal teams and bank partners.\nExceptional communication skills and a high level of emotional intelligence.\nAbility to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment and comfortable working in a rapidly changing industry with flexibility to quickly react to changing demands.\nKeen eye for process improvement and efficiency modification.\nA strong desire to continue learning within the AML space and developing industry knowledge to assist Self in maintaining a compliant BSA program. \nBase salary range: $120,000-150,000 annually.
