This Accounting Analyst will be responsible for reviewing AP & AR reconciliations while collaborating across our global Finance organization to project and analyze our financial results and instill strong accounting fundamentals. If you love working with cross-functional teams and applying your knowledge of financial concepts, organizational and interpersonal skills, then this position may be for you!\nA typical day as an Accounting Analyst might include under direct supervision:\nPerforming or auditing standard journal entries, account analyses, workpapers, AP/AR reconciliations, and assist in performing month end close tasks.\nPrepare analysis of financial data for management review. Prepare and/or assist with preparation of budgets, projections, product cost analyses, and other analyses, including recommendations to management, and/or assist in documentation of internal controls.\nAssist with research and planning according to generally accepted accounting principles and/or current tax laws.\nThis job might be for you if have:\nBachelors degree in accounting, finance, Management Information Systems (MIS), or related field, or equivalent experience.\nExperience with Excel.\nKnowledge of accounting and finance principles, theories, and concepts based on educational experience.\nStrong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.\nThe ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.\nThe ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.\nIt is a plus if you have:\nInternship experience.\nAccounting experience in a manufacturing environment.\nExperience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Tax systems.\nTax, audit, project, and/or cost accounting experience.\nAbout Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories\nSEL designs, manufactures, and supports products and systems that protect, monitor, control, and automate electric power systems.
