If you are looking for an opportunity to build supplier partnerships, and support R&D, this position is for you!\nAs a Buyer III a typical day might include the following:\nAdhering to purchasing policies and practices to ensure highest quality, appropriate inventory levels, timely delivery, and competitive cost from suppliers.\nExecuting strategic sourcing plans to support company objectives.\nIdentifying risks to SEL's supply chain and report to management; including overall market trends, capacity constraints, commodity risks, and business conditions for manufacturers and suppliers.\nCreating and improving supplier partnerships by identifying areas for improvement, escalating issues to management and executing corrective action plans in accordance with World Class Manufacturing principles.\nDemonstrating and leading others on business professionalism, purchasing fundamentals, time management, data analytics, supply chain management, supplier development, cost reduction strategy development and negotiation techniques.\nThis job might be for you if:\nYou hold a B.A./B.S. degree in business, operations, or supply chain; or a combination of relevant education and experience\nYou have 3 or more years of experience\nYou have intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel\nYou have familiarity working with MRP/ERP systems\nYou have strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills\nPreferred Qualifications\nAPICS certification and/or ISM certification\nUnderstanding of electronics technology, manufacturing methods and total quality process\nExperience working with MRP/ERP systems\nLocations:\nPullman, WA - This position is located in Pullman, WA.
