As a Compliance Engineer - EMC, you will oversee projects, provide technical support to customers, and work in a state-of-the-art test facility. If you are a self-starter with a keen attention to detail, enjoy analysis, and strive for integrity, quality, and customer focus in your career, this is the position for you!\nAs a Compliance Engineer - EMC, a typical day might include the following:\nDevelop and maintain a detailed understanding of the standards, requirements and solutions for the assigned compliance area (e.g., EMC, Safety, Product Ecology).\n\nDevelop compliance tests, procedures and reports for the assigned compliance area and ensure test documentation is complete and filed in accordance with ISO 17025 (A2LA) and quality system requirements.\n\nDevelop and maintain a general understanding of SEL products and markets.\n\nProvide general technical assistance to product groups.\n\n Required Qualifications\nB.S. in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline, or equivalent experience\n\n2+ years working knowledge of compliance engineering practices and philosophies at an electronics development and manufacturing company\n\nFamiliarity with EMC design mitigation methods and best practices for equipment in industrial and public utility environments\n\nHands on working knowledge of common EMC testing equipment\n\nExperience with the following: IEC/EN/KN 61000-4-2, -3, -4, -5, -6, -8, -9, -10, -11, -12, -16, -17, -18, -29; IEC/EN 61000-3-2, -3; IEC/EN/KN 60255-26; IEEE C37.90.1, .2, .3; Unintentional Radiators (FCC Part 15B and CISPR 11, 22, 32)\n\nSelf-motivated/self-starter\n\nStrong writing, documentation, and speaking skills\n\nAbility to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities\n\nAbility to work cooperatively in a team environment\n\n It would be nice if you have:\nKnowledge of one or more of the following compliance (regulatory, voluntary, customer) areas including standards, requirements, and solutions:\n\n-- EMC (FCC, IC, IEC, CISPR, CE)\n\n-- Safety standards (UL, CSA, IEC, CE)\n\n-- Radio\n\nLeadership experience or training\n\nLocation Information:\nPullman, WA - This position is located in Pullman, WA.
